Cold War & Warzone Season 4 trailer reveals upcoming weapons
Eagle-eyed Call of Duty fans have spotted some of Cold War and Warzone Season 4’s upcoming weapons, revealing that we’re set to see the return of some old favorites.
Warzone and Black Ops Cold War’s highly-anticipated Season 4 has finally been revealed, giving us a taste of the game’s upcoming maps, vehicles, Operators, and weapons. While none of these weapons were officially announced, Call of Duty fans immediately recognized the guns on display.
Here’s every weapon teased in Warzone and Black Ops Cold War’s Season 4 trailer.
G3
Fans of Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare were quick to spot the G3 rifle in the Warzone and Cold War Season 4 trailer. This semi-automatic rifle fell under the Assault Rifle class in CoD 4 and MWR, but from the trailer footage, it appears to be a full-auto in Black Ops Cold War.
Others have pointed out that it could be the CETME, a Spanish battle rifle that the G3 was heavily inspired by.
If the devs choose to make it semi-automatic when it releases, expect it to fall under the Tactical Rifle category, but all signs have pointed towards it being an Assault Rifle.
Nail Gun – DIY 11 Renovator
Call of Duty are never afraid to include some wacky elements in their multiplayer, and the next weapon spotted in the Season 4 trailer absolutely carries on the trend.
During the reveal for the remaster of Hijacked, Black Ops 3’s DIY 11 Renovator was spotted. This is a fully automatic nail gun that was included in the SMG category.
While projectile-based weapons are now standard in Call of Duty, the Renovator was one of the first weapons to not be hitscan, which made it quite difficult to use. However, while giving off a loud sound, firing it didn’t reveal your position on the mini map.
Expect the nail gun to have a low bullet velocity, making it a tough SMG to use at range but one that’s fun to wield nevertheless.
Desert Eagle – Hand Cannon
The final weapon that fans spotted in the trailer was the Desert Eagle. A classic Call of Duty weapon boasting high damage but also high recoil, the Deagle is perfect for those looking for the satisfaction of one-tapping an enemy.
The Desert Eagle first appeared in Cold War’s campaign as the Hand Cannon, so expect the multiplayer version to be very similar to the campaign’s.
