VAC ban message Counter-Strike 2

A new bug is hitting the Counter-Strike 2 community, and high-dpi players are now reporting a new unfair VAC bans wave. Check out everything you need to know about this new bug in CS2.

The Counter-Strike 2 community seems to be enduring a continuous stream of bugs and glitches in Valve’s revamped shooter. After developers found a solution for the AMD processor anti-lag bug, many players have been reporting a new wave of seemingly unfair VAC bans.

This time, high-DPI players need to be cautious of this new bug. According to several users who have been sharing their clips on Reddit, the Valve Anti-Cheat Live system appears to be banning high-sensitivity players because it interprets their “flicks” and quick turns as a result of third-party software.

According to player reports, this new bug has been banning many players in official matchmaking games (Premier, Competitive, Casual, and Wingman), leaving their Steam profiles marked with the red VAC ban notification.

CS2 players have recreated the high-DPI bug

There aren’t many players who use a high DPI, so initially, it seemed like a joke. However, some players like TabbyN and Somethinese decided to recreate this scenario and have been playing Counter-Strike 2 with a high DPI configuration, and the results came quickly.

After a couple of rounds in Casual mode, they were automatically kicked out of the session with a popup message indicating they had been banned by the VAC system. Some players have pointed out that this happened to them or their friends, but they haven’t been directly banned; instead, they were sent to Overwatch, the game’s review system, to determine if they are using third-party assistance or not.

CS2 players once again criticized the game’s poor anti-cheat system and demanded that Valve do something about it. However, far from issuing any kind of statement, the developers have yet to comment on this new bug that is unfairly banning players.

We will have to wait for this announcement for two reasons: first, to correct this VAC Live bug, and second so that users who have already been penalized can recover their accounts. In the meantime, you can check how to enable black bars in CS2 or which are the best Mirage smokes.
