Binding jump to the scroll wheel in CS2 helps you time your bunny hops with ease, allowing you to move across the map quickly. So, here’s how you can bind your jump to the scroll wheel in CS2 using the settings and developer console.

The Counter-Strike franchise has moved to the Source 2 engine with CS2, bringing significant visual, gameplay, and audio upgrades. From the improved visibility of player models across different parts of the maps to skins looking more appealing, CS2 allows players to experience Counter-Strike like never before.

However, the movement mechanics have remained the same, and if you’re looking to land your bunny-hops consistently, binding jump to your scroll wheel will make it much simpler.

With that said, here’s how to set up your jump bind to the scroll wheel in CS2.

How to bind jump to scroll wheel in Counter-Strike 2

To bind jump to the scroll wheel in CS2, simply follow these steps:

Counter-Strike 2 players are able to change their keybinds in the settings.

Binding your jump to the scroll wheel makes it easier to bunny hop, a useful movement in Counter-Strike 2 that allows you to traverse the map faster.

Bunny hopping consists of timing your jump and strafing to increase your velocity above the default speed, a useful trick to get to lines of sight on the map earlier than anyone in the lobby.

How to change jump bind using Developer Console in CS2

There’s also a way to change your jump bind in CS2 by enabling the Developer Console in the settings and using it to input these commands:

  • Scroll wheel down: “bind mwheeldown +jump;bind space +jump”
  • Scroll wheel up: “bind mwheelup +jump;bind space +jump”

Simply type either of these in depending on your preference and it will change your jump to the chosen scroll wheel setting. This will also retain the space bar as your jump input, so both the scroll wheel and space bar will be bound to jump.

Well, there you have it, that’s how you can bind your jump to the mouse wheel for easier bunny hopping in Counter-Strike 2.
