Bunny hopping is an effective strategy used by several CS2 players to speed up and cover large aras o the map quickly. While mastering this technique only comes with practice, here are some basic tips on how to bunny hop in CS2.

CS2 brings a bunch of new content to the Counter-Strike franchise, all of which is worth exploring. The visual upgrades through the Source 2 engine are the most apparent, but players can also stumble upon a wide range of changes in maps as well as gameplay features like inspecting grenades.

However, CS2 still aims to provide players with the classic CSGO experience, and, luckily, a lot of strategies, playstyles, and weapons, are as effective as they were in the original game. One of these is bunny-hopping, which is a great skill to learn in CS2.

So, here’s everything to know about bunny hopping in CS2 and how you can master the technique.

How to bunny hop in Counter-Strike 2

First off, we recommend binding your jump to your scroll wheel on a mouse. This makes the timing a lot easier to execute when trying to bunny hop in CS2. Follow these steps to b-hop in Counter-Strike 2:

  1. Loadout into a game of CS2.
  2. Move your character forward.
  3. Jump while moving forward and strafe side to side with the left and right strafe keys while your character is in the air.
  4. At the same time, move your mouse from left to right in correspondence with the strafe key you are pressing.
  5. As you land, time the jump and repeat the steps again.

Bunny hopping isn’t the easiest technique to master, but practice makes perfect, and once you get it down, it will improve your gameplay tenfold as you’ll be able to get to lines of sight faster than your enemies.

Unfortunately, if you’re more of a controller player, it will be much harder to pull off as you can’t use the scroll wheel trick.
