Apex Legends players have discovered a new exploit that gets lets them go soaring through the air with Pathfinder’s grapple ability, giving them an aerial advantage during combat.

There are a number of different characters to choose from in Apex Legends, and all of them come with their own unique abilities. One of the most popular Legends is the rogue MRVN unit Pathfinder, who is able to use his grappling hook to reach elevated positions.

However, it seems players have found a way to take this ability to new heights with a crazy new exploit in Season 11 that lets them take to the sky for as long as they want, and get the drop on their foes from above.

Pathfinder grapple in Apex Legends

One Redditor highlighted this exploit in a clip in the Apex Legends subreddit. It showcases Pathfinder using his grappling ability on a death box that is locked in place on an Octane pad by a teammate.

Once the grappling hook landed on the box, the teammate jumped off and allowed the box to launch into the air. It ended up taking Pathfinder with it so he went soaring through the sky.

The robot can stay hooked until the grappled object gets out of the line of sight. This ends up creating an unlimited amount of momentum as the two revolve around each other while soaring through the sky.

Many of the commenters began discussing the best ways to apply the trick and its potential impact on team play. “I’m imagining my team flaming me as I fly 2 miles into the sky and they are being finished by the last squad. It will be glorious,” wrote one user.

While some players are worried about the effects of this exploit on matches, others showed how impressed they are with the complicated trick the Redditor was able to pull off in the clip.

At the time of writing, it’s unclear whether or not Respawn Entertainment will make any major changes to keep players from being able to use this exploit during combat. It currently doesn’t seem to have caught their attention.
