Crazy “two-shot” Vanguard pistol loadout is so powerful it’s been banned
There is a Vanguard pistol loadout that can easily “two-shot” enemies from across the map, and this weapon is so overpowered that it has been effectively banned from tournaments.
Call of Duty: Vanguard is finally here, and there’s plenty of fun new content to enjoy, including new weapons like the Sten and 16 multiplayer maps. However, there have also been quite a few issues with the launch.
You can equip 10 attachments to your guns in Vanguard, and one 1911 pistol loadout takes advantage of this to make the weapon extremely overpowered, which has caught the attention of the CoD community.
“Two-shot” Vanguard 1911 pistol loadout
This 1911 Vanguard loadout showed up on November 7 and was quickly banned from CMG tournament play. Twitter user Flexd then posted all the attachments used on the weapon.
Here is the “two-shot” Vanguard 1911 pistol loadout:
- Muzzle: F8 Stabilizer
- Barrel: Gracey Short No. 2
- Optic: Slate Reflector
- Trigger Action: Hair Trigger
- Magazine: .30 Russian Short
- Ammo Type: Hollow Point
- Rear Grip: Fabric Grip
- Proficiency: Fleet
- Kit: Quick
In the tweet, Flexd described the pistol as a weapon that “two-bullets no matter where.” Some players were frustrated that this loadout is now available for the masses to see, while others simply called for bans.
This caught the attention of Checkmate Gaming, who responded by banning the 1911 pistol from all matches on November 8. They alerted players of this change through a Vanguard rules update.
“Effective 7 PM EST – The 1911 Pistol will be restricted in all tournament & ladder matches,” they tweeted. A few professional players inquired as to why exactly this weapon has been banned.
Many users then explained that it’s because the gun is “two bullets” you can’t see some of the attachments in the kill cam. As a result, you can’t ban those attachments, so it’s better to remove the weapon altogether.
It’s understandable why this weapon loadout has been banned from tournaments and ladder matches, and it remains to be seen whether or not the developers will be addressing this issue soon
