Crazy Warzone glitch adds extra player to Gulag

In a spooky Warzone glitch, a Gulag match was interrupted by a third combatant making an unexpected appearance.

Getting third-partied is the bane of most Call of Duty: Warzone players, but a strange glitch had a third player show up in a 1v1 Gulag.

While Warzone can be scary enough at times, with Roze skins hiding in dark corners and a Zombie outbreak by Port for Season 2, a player appeared to witness something supernatural in the Gulag.

The Gulag is designed to be one-on-one, but a strange glitch shared by ‘Minimus Max’ on YouTube had a third player enter the fray. Players throwing rocks at Gulag competitors can be a nuisance, but a third player joining in on the fun is a new anomaly.

Warzone season 2 gulag

Waiting to fight for their return ticket to Verdansk, another player appeared beside Minimus Max, aiming an HDR Sniper Rifle down mid. Visibly confused, Minimus Max aimed their Crossbow at the uninvited guest, but before they could finish asking “why is there somebody in my Gulag?” the other player blinked out of existence, and the 1v1 began. Our player quickly recovered and won the fight with a nice Crossbow shot.

What appears to have happened here is two Gulags took place at the same time. When the other player disappeared, they likely died in their own Gulag.

If this glitch continues, it could make the already controversial Nuketown Gulag even more disliked. If the other fight went on for longer, it’s possible a four-player melee could have taken place.

Activision and Raven Software keep players updated on known issues and their progress on their official Trello board, but as of yet, uninvited guests appearing in the Gulag isn’t included. If this glitch becomes more common, expect it to be added there and fixed in a future update.

In the meantime, if this glitch appears in your Gulag, you’ll know what to expect and can use the other player as a distraction for an easy kill on your confused opponent.

How to win Warzone Verdansk ’84 Gulag: Tips and strategies guide

The new Warzone Verdansk ’84 map brings back a fan-favorite map for players in the Gulag that you will need to know how to win when playing.

Warzone gulag season 3

The latest Warzone update has brought the new Verdansk ’84 map and a new Gulag layout for players to battle out their intense 1v1s during Season 3.

In Warzone Season 3, players can finally experience Verdansk ’84, a reimagined version of the classic Warzone map set in the 1980s.

Along with this new map, a new Gulag is also present, which many dedicated Call of Duty players may recognize from Black Ops 2.

Standoff Gulag

For those unaware, the Gulag is where players fight for a second chance after their first elimination, which could either end in them dropping back into the map or being sent back to the lobby, depending on whether they win or those.

Warzone’s Gulag has been updated in the past, with the previous layout taking the form of the Black Ops series most popular map, Nuketown. In Call of Duty Warzone Season 3, the Gulag has taken the layout from fan-favorite Black Ops 2 map, Standoff. Check out the cinematic trailer below.

Although the layout is slightly different, taking on a smaller scale, it will still feel similar to those familiar with the Black Ops 2 map.

The new Warzone Verdansk ’84 Gulag is smaller than the previous Nuketown one, making for intense engagements. The Layout is taken from Standoff’s center, with the tank and building opposite each other.

If players take too long to battle it out, the flag will appear in the center of the map, next to the tank, and just past the wall outside the small building structure.

For those who aren’t aware, the building features a window that looks out on the opposite spawn but is aware as players can also come through the bottom floor or even a ladder at the back.

How to Win Verdansk ’84 Gulag

The best strategy so far seems to be getting to the top floor of the building, whatever side you start on. Be cautious, as both spawns have options to get to the top floor fairly quickly, and you could be staring right at someone as soon as you reach the top.

The top floor is a great spot to take as you can gain an advantage on the opponent if they decide to ignore the building and take the street route where the tank is. Further, the top floor also allows you to peak at the bottom of the building, catching out those opponents who want to sneak through.

It does seem a bit harder for spectators to see what’s going on in the Verdansk ’84 Gulag map, as the walls and building structures mean you might be having to look through the walkway floor to help your teammates with callouts.

best landing spots warzone season 3

Like most battle royale games, your survival in Warzone is dependent on the loot you collect. There are many ideal landing spots on Verdansk ’84 that provide good loot in Season 3, and we’ve narrowed down our top five.

The battle royale title of Call of Duty: Warzone received some massive changes in its Season 3 update, with the biggest one being the introduction of the new Verdansk ’84 map. Following the nuclear destruction of the modern-day Verdansk, players were set back to 1984 and now have a different version of Verdansk to do battle on.

One of the most important things to consider when planning a strategy for a match is choosing which of the many landing spots to land at and begin securing loot and cash. This is ever more important in Season 3, with many fan-favorite landing spots changing drastically and new ones having been added.

This is why we are here to help you by bringing you our top five landing spots for Warzone Season 3.

Best Landing Spots in Warzone Verdansk ’84 Season 3

5. Verdansk Airport

One area of Verdansk that underwent some major changes with the transition to 1984 is Airport. Players will find a great deal of worthwhile loot in the new airport that make it one of the best landing spots in Warzone Season 3 when it comes to getting geared up fast.

The lack of destruction of this new Airport also prevents players inside of the building from being sniped by players in the air traffic control tower or the roof thanks to a fleshed second-story area with great loot, making it a much more appealing place to land and loot.

4. Gorengard Lumber Yard

Best Landing Spots Warzone Season 3 Lumber Yard

Verdansk ’84 did not make any significant changes to Lumber Yard, but it also did not take nothing of value away making it still one of the best places to land for loot.

We suggest starting at the lumber warehouses and working your way around the area in a circle to snag the valuable loot that can be found and to keep everything in front of you to avoid being caught in a crossfire in the middle by enemy teams.

3. Downtown Tavorsk District

Best Landing Spots Warzone Season 3 Downtown

The downtown area of modern-day Verdansk could be a frustrating experience with its dense population of tall buildings that would provide plenty of areas for rooftop campers to hide and wait. However, the jump back in time to 1984 has done a great deal to remedy this problem.

Players can now make their way through the much more open area of Downtown and collect all of the powerful loot and cash it offers without having as many hiding spots for enemies to possibly be hiding in to worry about. You will also find yourself inside of most circles to start a match in this area.

2. Superstore

Superstore

There is no denying that Superstore was one of the top landing spots in Modern Day Verdansk and will no doubt continue to be one of the best landing spots players can choose during Warzone Season 3.

Its high concentration of loot, cash, and contracts make it a very attractive place for players to begin their matches at and also offers the opportunity for teams to right into the fight if they are feeling dangerous.

1. Summit

Summit

Plenty of changes were made to various areas of Verdansk with its jump back to 1984. However, the most significant change came with the addition of the Summit location that greatly increased the size of the Dam area.

Summit brings a vast new place for players to explore and has one of the highest concentrations of loot in Warzone Season 3, making it one of the best landing spots you can pick if you want to leave with enough cash for a loadout and plenty of other useful items from a buy station.

That covers the 5 best loot rotations in the Verdansk ’84 map for Call Of Duty: Warzone Season 3 thanks to the game’s official strategy guide. There is no doubt that plenty of players are excited to start collecting wins on the new map, and these landing spots will no doubt help you and your teammates set yourself up for success in every match you jump into.
