Warzone bug makes players super jump

With Warzone Season 3 finally underway, players are excitedly trying out the new Verdansk ’84 map, and a few have encountered a bug that allows them to super jump across buildings.

Warzone’s Season 3 update brought a ton of changes to the game, including a new 80s-themed Verdansk. The recent map update altered every building and locale with improved lighting for a better player experience.

A common strategy for players is to traverse across Verdansk’s building rooftops, as this provides an aerial advantage and helps you get away from overwhelming foes. Now, a crazy bug is causing players to super jump across buildings.

Reddit user ThanosBigSnap posted a short clip showcasing this bug in the CoD Warzone subreddit. In this, the player was making their way across rooftops when they suddenly encountered the glitch.

After collecting some loot, they were planning to jump across a wide gap to the building on their left. Not only did they make it across, but they ended up landing much further than expected due to a spontaneous super jump.

This came as a big surprise to the player, and to the various impressed commenters. ThanosBigSnap aptly titled the clip “Turned into Superman today,” because of the character’s ability to “leap tall buildings in single bound.”

How to do a Superman jump in Warzone

There is a method that you can use to trigger this jump during a match. Here’s what you need to do:

  1. Run straight towards the edge off a building
  2. Snap to the right and jump right when you reach the edge
  3. Cut your parachute as soon as you jump, and you’ll launch yourself far.

This will cause the game to assume that you’re free-falling, and it will trigger the animation. A few players in the comments have brought up instances where they’ve experienced the same thing.

“I’ve had it happen on tall buildings where I wasn’t jumping off,” wrote one user. “One time I managed to get it to trigger on a radio antenna and I just circled the antenna over and over in ‘free fall'”.

It’s unlikely that the developers will be working to remove this anytime soon, as they’re focusing their attention on cheaters. So, feel free to try it out the next time you hop into Verdansk!
