Cyberpunk 2077 devs recommend entirely new playthrough ahead of Phantom Liberty DLC
CD Projekt RedCyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty and Update 2.0 are almost here, and CD Projekt Red have recommended that players start all over, in order to try all the new features included in the release.
Since its initial release in December 2020, Cyberpunk 2077 has received patches, fixes, and quality-of-life improvements as the devs looked to improve on the game’s rocky start. After almost three years, CD-Projekt Red is releasing its first paid DLC: Phantom Liberty, an expansion that promises to keep Cyberpunk players interested in the game for years to come.
CD-Projekt Red have recommended certain specs for PC users, to make sure they can run the game smoothly, and they’ve also recommended starting the game all over. This suggestion will allow players to experience all the new features included in Update 2.0.
The CD-Projekt Red devs took to their official X account to provide an update: “Hey, chooms! While you’ll be able to continue the game with your current character on an existing save, we recommend starting a new game after CyberpunkGame Update 2.0. Due to the number of changes, starting fresh will enhance your overall gameplay experience!”
Though it’s understandable that the devs encourage players to start all over to see all the improvements they made in the game, it’ll be up to the players to decide whether to follow through on the recommendation.
