Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC release date
CD Projekt RED released Cyberpunk 2077’s Phantom Liberty DLC on September 26, 2023. The expansion costs $29.99 USD, and you can buy it now on Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5, and PC platforms.
CD Projekt RED revealed the date in a release trailer. It had more information about the DLC and how it will fit into Cyberpunk 2077’s main plot.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty story
Phantom Liberty is a new spy-thriller adventure that’s arrived as a paid DLC for Cyberpunk 2077. You’ll return as the cybernetically augmented mercenary V and embark on a high-stakes spy mission to save the NUSA President. As V, you’ll forge alliances in Dogtown, a troublesome new region similar to Pacifica, but far more intense.
The DLC trailer starts with a NUSA intelligence analyst named Songbird contacting V and promising to cure their illness if they help the NUSA with a critical mission. It also shows off Dogtown, alongside the new weapons you’ll get to use.
There’s another character called Solomon Reed, a NUSA sleeper agent played by Idris Elba. He is hinted at as a gray character who might not be as reliable as Johnny Silverhand. The ex-Samurai frontman is back to guide you through the mayhem in this spy thriller.
CD Projekt RED showed off the revamped skill tree as well as some new Relic-based skills. Whether you’re a brawler, a netrunner, or even a ruthless mercenary, you’ll have new abilities at your disposal. Silverhand can also be heard rebuking V after they swear to “faithfully serve the New United States of America.”
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC platforms
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty DLC is only available on the Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and PC. This leaves last-gen consoles behind, but it’s no secret that Cyberpunk 2077 had serious trouble on last-gen consoles.
Keanu Reeves returns as Johnny Silverhand in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty
If hearing his voice in the trailer wasn’t enough, Keanu Reeves appeared and confirmed that “Johnny Silverhand is coming back and so am I.”
“It’s awesome to be back playing the role of Johnny and I hope you’re excited to see him rocking out once more in the dark future,” said Reeves. Silverhand will play a major role in this upcoming expansion.
Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty: All New cars & weapons
There are three new cars available for Cyberpunk 2077 players to either buy or unlock for free. And seven new weapons to get their try in the game. Additionally, not only you can now lean out of their cars while driving and engage in combat but also wield Katanas while riding a bike.
While only a few cars were added with the latest expansion pack, several cars received significant changes, including mounted weapons like machine guns and rockets.
