Your life in the Night City might not be easy, but it will be nearly impossible if you are not equipped with the best items and gear. Airdrops in the Phantom Liberty DLC are some of the best ways to get more weapons, armor, and valuable items for free.

How to get Airdrops in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

Airdrops are random in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, coming from various airborne carriers and you will find them in various places throughout Dogtown. These red boxes full of loot will produce a large cloud of red smoke, indicating their location.

Keep in mind that Airdrops might spawn at various places in the Dogtown district, but their overall locations do not change. This means that they will keep spawning at the same location where you last encountered them in Dogtown. Also, they spawn pretty frequently, so you do not have to wait long for a drop.

Once you locate an Airdrop, quickly get to its location to find a bunch of Hansen’s thugs and the FIA, or some other faction fighting over it. You can either kill all of them or sneak past them silently to get to the box. Whatever you do, reach the box quickly as if the fight ends, the winning party will take control of the Airdrop.

How to use Airdrops in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

To use Airdrops in Cyberpunk 2077, you will have to breach the box’s protocol to unlock it. As mentioned earlier, you can either sneak past the enemies or take them out before doing this. Once you unlock the box, you will get access to all the loot stored in it.

Airdrops are basically loot meant for Hansen, and you can get some extremely powerful gear by accessing these boxes. So keep an eye out for these drops in Dogtown as they appear every once in a while. Also, keep in mind that you can’t get Airdrops outside of Dogtown, even if you have the Phantom Liberty expansion.
