In Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty, with only a moment to choose, decision-making is always intense. One of the tough choices will come your way in the Lucretia My Reflection quest during the main campaign. Here’s whether you should kill or spare Jacob and Taylor in this mission.

Thanks to Phantom Liberty DLC and Update 2.0, Cybperunk 2077 has managed to reclaim some of the popularity it lost back in 2020. With many players returning and new players joining the game after the DLC, choices like the one in Lucretia My Reflection will surely put you on the spot.

While stationed in a hideout with Myers, two NPCs will surprise you with a visit. Since your mission is to protect Myers, you will have to choose to either kill or spare Jacob and Taylor.

Here’s everything you need to know about whether to kill or spare Taylor and Jacob in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty.

Should you kill or spare Jacob & Taylor in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty?

Cyberpunk 2077 Jacob and Taylor
Jacob and Taylor will randomly appear in a hideout.

As Jacob and Taylor are just two random NPCs showing up in the hideout, your decision here will not impact the storyline in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty.

Keep in mind that you will not gain much if you kill them. Instead, if you spare them, they will act friendly towards you and might even give you valuable information about in-game features like airdrops.

Although Myers will instigate you to shoot them down as she will be on high alert due to the sudden appearance of the NPCs, you can choose any option to move on with the mission. It’s important not to get too close to them as they will start shooting, removing your path toward achieving a peaceful solution in Cyberpunk 2077.

The two outcomes of the decision to spare or kill Jacob and Taylor in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty are:

  • Killing Jacob and Taylor: You will be able to loot them and collect a double-barrel shotgun and some money.
  • Sparing Jacob and Taylor: You will be given a couple of timed dialogues, and can have a chat with them. After that, they will be around the hideout for a while and be friendly toward you.

Additionally, sparing Jacob and Taylor will trigger some interesting dialogue and will make V aware of the Airdrops falling in Dogtown. This doesn’t link to the main storyline, but it is a secondary activity that will pop up when free roaming through the map.

Ultimately, is it up to you if you spare them or not since that doesn’t lock you out of the Airdrop secondary activity. So, don’t stress too much if you end up killing them, the consequences of your actions will not pursue you further during the Phantom Liberty questline.

In the end, it entirely depends on your role-play preferences. As mentioned earlier, any choice you make will not affect the course of the mission or the story in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty. If you prefer to limit unnecessary bloodshed, you can always go for the peaceful option.
