Days of Summer in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 live now on Xbox One and PC

With the release of the latest hot fix update for Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on Xbox One and PC, the new seasonal event is live in-game!

Days of Summer is live in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The Days of Summer game update returns in Call of Duty®: Black Ops 4. Experience the largest battle in Call of Duty history with Ground War in Blackout, roll through the remastered Grind, and so much more. Available now.

The new update brings a host of new weapons, including a new sniper, to the Black Market, new Blackout modes like Ground War (50v50 mode), the return of CTF to MP, new Elixiars + Gauntlet in Zombies, and more.

Here’s a look at what’s new in each mode:

MULTIPLAYER

Free Map
- Grind
  - The classic Black Ops 2 skatepark map is now in rotation, free for all players.
Game Modes
- Capture the Flag
  - Capture the Flag now live as Featured Playlist on PS4.
  - First team to capture 3 flags in a round, or the team that has the most captures at the end of a round, wins the round.
  - First team to win 2 rounds wins the match.
  - In Overtime, the first team to capture the enemy’s flag will set the time to beat, and sides will switch. The opposing team must capture the flag faster to win.
New Weapons
- Multiplayer support added for new weapons available in the Black Market:
  - Grav assault rifle
  - Peacekeeper assault rifle
  - Vendetta sniper rifle
  - Locus sniper rifle
  - S6 Stingray tactical rifle
  - Ballistic Knife special weapon

BLACKOUT

Summer Map Updates
- New summer foliage and lighting added to main map.
- Coolers added throughout the map containing Paint Can bundle rewards.
- Throwable Water Balloons added throughout the map.
- BBQ-themed parties, balloons, yard flamingos, flags, and pool floats added to various locations throughout the map.
Post-Flood Map Updates
- Flood water has receded.
- Hydro Dam now under reconstruction.
- Factory now under repair.
- Cargo Docks now restored with new layout changes.
- Hijacked relocated to Nuketown Island cove.
Game Modes
- Ground War
  - Massive battle with two teams of up to 50 players on each side.
  - Each team has an opposing flight path. Choose to jump with your team, or try to get behind enemy lines early on.
  - Each match starts with a collapsed play space to get into the action faster.
  - More loot spawns throughout the map and ammo drops are doubled.
  - “Down But Not Out” redeploys enabled.
  - Escalating redeploy loadouts enabled.
  - Players can revive downed players in their squad and teammates not in their immediate squad.
  - Friendly fire disabled.
Vehicles
- Attack Helicopter
  - Helicopter equipped with two heavy turrets designed for combat added to the main map.
Equipment
- Hawk
  - Outrider’s Hawk now available to scout for enemies. Cannot be parked in mid-air.
Weapons
- Support added for Grav assault rifle attachments.
Coward’s Way Out
- Players can now you can hold the USE button to reduce the time spent downed in redeploy modes.

ZOMBIES

Gauntlets
- “Labours of Hercules” Gauntlet
  - New Gauntlet now available for “Ancient Evil” featuring 30 unique challenges.
New Elixirs
- Perkaholic
  - Receive all Loadout Perks and six random extra Perks that are not in your loadout. Cannot stack with itself.
  - Activates immediately.
- Near Death Experience
  - Revive or be revived, simply by being near other players. Revived players keep all Loadout Perks after being revived.
  - Activates immediately (lasts 10 minutes or 5 revives).
- Reign Drops
  - Spawns one of each of the nine core power-ups.
  - Instant activation.
- Shopping Free
  - All purchases are free.
  - Activates immediately (lasts 1 minute).
Weapons
- Support added for S6 Stingray, Peacekeeper, Vendetta, Locus, and Ballistic Knife.
- Support added for Grav assault rifle attachments.
- Support added for new Mastercraft weapons.

GLOBAL

Community Challenge
- Grav assault rifle available to all players after the Community Challenge of completing 15 million public matches has been achieved.
Black Market
- Weapon Bribe now earnable at Tier 25 in Contraband.
- Vendetta sniper rifle now earnable at Tier 50 in Contraband.
- S6 Stingray, Locus, Peacekeeper, and Ballistic Knife now available in the Black Market and unlockable through the Weapon Bribe at Tier 25 in Contraband.
- New MKII Weapons, Weapon Camos, Outfits, Weapon Charms, Death Effects, Jump Packs, Gestures, and more now available in the Black Market.
