Season of the Splicer has officially arrived in the world of Destiny 2. Still, the Destiny 2 Honeydew error code is causing some trouble for players trying to experience everything the new period of content has to offer.

May 11, 2021, is the first official day of the new Season of Splicer in Destiny 2. It is injecting various new things for players to experience when playing the popular first-person shooter. This new content includes new exotic weapons and a new Season Pass filled to the brim with rewards.

Unfortunately, the notorious Destiny 2 Honeydew error code has emerged with the Season of the Splicer update and is preventing players from jumping into the new content.

Now, the Destiny 2 Honeydew error code appears when Bungie has overridden public access to an activity, which is the case when Bungie applies a new update to the game and has to restrict access to the servers by way of shutting them down for a time to allow the update to successfully go live.

Fortunately, this error code has nothing to do with a player’s connection to the game’s servers meaning there is not a problem on your end, and all that Guardians can do right now is wait until Bungie brings the servers back online once the Season of the Splicer update successfully goes live.

It remains to be seen how long this error code will affect the community. Still, usually, server downtime for large updates like Season of the Splicer takes an hour or two, so all players can do is wait for the Destiny 2 Honeydew error code to pass and keep trying to connect to the servers.

There is no doubt that the entire community is excited to jump into the Season of the Splicer update. It brings an exciting new story for players to experience and new things for players to try out, like the Cryosthesia 77k exotic sidearm.
