Upgrade modules in Destiny 2 are the only way you can increase the power levels of your weapons and gear, so you must stock up on them as and when you get the chance.

With every new expansion, Bungie increases the base power level for all its activities. While you’ll receive a bump in your existing power level, it won’t be enough to help you tackle the enemies that are a part of the new expansion.

So, here’s everything you need to know about getting Upgrade Modules, which will make endgame content easier in Destiny 2.

Where to find Upgrade Modules in Destiny 2

You can either purchase Upgrade Modules in Destiny 2, or you can earn them by completing different activities in the game.

Here is a list of all the methods through which you can acquire this item in the game:

Vendors

Currently, there are only Banshee-44 and Ada-1 sell Upgrade Modules. You will find the item on the second page of their inventory.

Ada-1 Destiny 2
Ada-1- can be found in the Tower Annex.

Purchasing this item from them will set you back 1 Enhancement Core and 5000 Glimmer.

Season Pass

Alternatively, if you’re looking to get this item for free, check the tiers on your Season Pass. Both the free and the premium track contain Upgrade Modules for you to claim, provided you’ve hit the required levels.

However, on the free track, you’ll have access to only 15 modules, whereas on the paid track you’ll have access to 18 Upgrade Modules in addition to the 15 on the free track.

Concetrated Mattergem

You can purchase this consumable from the Eververse Store in exchange for Bright Dust. With this consumable active, you will receive an Upgrade Module whenever you defeat a Destiny 2 boss enemy.

Concentrated Mattergem Destiny 2
You can have up to 50 Concentrated Mattergem in your inventory.

The effects of this consumable will expire the moment an Upgrade Module drops for you, so you’ll have to use more of this item if you want more modules in the game.

Legendary Campaign

Whenever you play the Destiny 2 campaign on Legendary difficulty, you’ll receive multiple Upgrade Modules whenever you complete a mission. You will also receive more stacks of this item once you’ve finished the entire campaign on Legendary difficulty.

However, it’s worth noting that this method is valid for the first playthrough on each character that you have.

Upgrade Modules aside, if you’re planning on making a Stasis Build, here’s a list of all the Stasis Fragments you’ll find in Destiny 2, along with how to use Luminiscent Seeds in the game.
