Failsafe in Destiny 2

Arena: Breach Executable is the new seasonal event in Destiny 2, where Failsafe tasks you with collecting data on Nessus to help her figure out what’s going on. Here is what you need to do to complete it.

Destiny 2 has released its first episode of the year, Echoes, and with it comes something sinister that landed in Nessus. You’re tasked with keeping the changed Vex at bay, and this is done through the new seasonal activity, Arena: Breach Executable.

So, here is everything you need to know about the new three-person seasonal activity, including how to unlock it, how to get the best rewards, and what you need to do to complete it.

How to unlock Arena: Breach Executable in Destiny 2

To unlock Arena: Breach Executable in Destiny 2, you need to complete the introductory quest to Echoes. This should activate immediately after you log in, but if you exit the missions at any point, you can return to the H.E.L.M. to continue again.

Once you’ve completed it, speak with Failsafe on the H.E.L.M. and complete the Arena: Breach Executable activity, which can also be launched through the H.E.L.M. This will start the episode’s quest chain and give you access to the seasonal activity.

You can launch the activity again from the H.E.L.M.

How to complete Arena: Breach Executable

You need to complete three tasks to beat Arena: Breach Executable in Destiny 2. The tasks will vary, but there will always be a boss fight at the end.

The main focus of each task is to collect data cubes. These will look like Vex cubes, and when the bar on your left has been filled, you’ll be able to deposit them in the marked pylon nearby. Once you have deposited enough data and completed each task, you’ll need to kill a boss to complete the activity.

The data cubes will look like Vex cubes with lights shining out of them.

As for the tasks, here is how to complete each one you may be faced with:

Install the Analytic Sequencer

Periodically, you will have to stand on marked pools of Vex milk to install them and get cubes. You need to be careful, though, because they shoot a fountain of Vex milk up which can kill you instantly.

While you’re standing on the capture point, you’ll start taking a little bit of damage before the fountain of Vex milk appears. This is your signal to stand off the point for a bit, wait for the milk to come back down, and you can continue capturing afterward.

Once you have captured all three points, three Signal Directors will appear, and you’ll have to take them down to complete the activity.

Redirect the Vex Signal

You need to shoot the nodes with Minotaur weapons to break them.

The other task you may see in Arena: Breach Executable is redirecting the Vex signal. Take down Minotaurs in the area, and then use their weapons to shoot at nodes that appear above you.

Once you have taken down the nodes, they’ll also spawn more data cubes to pick up.

Arena: Breach Executable rewards

After each completion of Arena: Breach Executable in Destiny 2, you’ll open a chest with rewards at the end of the activity. There are also a couple of ways to get bonus rewards:

Activate a Planetary Assimilation Piston

This is an extra challenge that you can complete for more rewards at the end of Arena: Breach Executable. All you need to do is find the Planetary Assimilation Piston while fighting enemies.

They can spawn in different places, but you can usually find them not too far away from the data pylon while you’re running between encounters.

Collect Crimson Radiolaria for extra rewards.

Collect Crimson Radiolaria

If you spot some strange-looking collectibles between activities, make sure to pick them up. Activating the Planetary Assimilation Piston should also spawn a lot for you to find. If you have the Tracking Mod on your ghost, you should be able to spot them with the same icon you see for planetary materials.

Pick them up and you’ll be granted a ton of additional seasonal rewards in Destiny 2.
