How to increase Destiny 2 Gambit Infamy Rank
Luckily, all you have to do is play Gambit to increase your Gambit Rank. You won’t lose any points for suffering a defeat, so it should be relatively stress-free. However, there are certain things you can do to increase how quickly you rank up.

Here’s everything you can do to increase your Gambit Rank quickly.
Win Gambit matches
This may sound like an obvious tip, but playing the objective and going for wins will vastly increase the speed at which you increase your Rank.
Losing games of Gambit won’t lower your Rank, but you’ll earn next to no Infamy, so you should really focus on playing for the win.
Rack up a win streak
Winning games will increase your Gambit Rank, but winning consecutive games will be a major help. For each game won in a row, you’ll continue to earn more and more points – up until five wins in a row where the max points are capped.
This is no easy feat, but players with the skill to pull off a win streak will be greatly rewarded.
Go in a Gambit Activity Streak
Destiny 2 highly incentivizes players to go on an Activity Streak. This is much the same as the win streak but isn’t dependent on winning games. You just need to keep queuing into Gambit uninterrupted, and you’ll continue to rack up points.
Play during Double Infamy weeks
Every once in a while, Destiny 2 will offer players Double Infamy weeks. There’s no confirmation on when the next will arrive, but it’s well-worth playing during these events.
How to reset Gambit Infamy Rank in Destiny 2
You can reset your Gambit Rank in Destiny 2 by speaking to the Drifter and claiming the Ascendant Shard.
Here’s how to reset your Destiny 2 Infamy Rank:
- Reach Legend and then hit the max level (10,000 points)
- Go to the Tower and speak with the Drifter
- Claim the Ascendant Shard
Once you’ve claimed the Shard, your Gambit Rank will be reset and the Ascendant Shard will be replaced with an Exotic Engram.
