The Diablo 4 devs have outlined a number of major changes coming in the 1.1.1 update through a series of Campfire Chats, but they’ve also confirmed a long-awaited buff to players’ horses to help them navigate one of the game’s most irritating obstacles.

The Diablo 4 Season 1 update received a ton of backlash from the community, with players even threatening to boycott the game in favor of Baldur’s Gate. Luckily, Blizzard wasted no time addressing issues and out revealed that the 1.1.1 update will bring a number of fixes that fans have been calling for.

This includes long-requested buffs to the Barbarian and Sorcerer classes, as well as XP changes that should make leveling up faster and eliminate some of the endgame grind.

However, there is one change that the devs forgot to mention in their Campfire Chats that has now been confirmed, and it solves an issue that fans have been experiencing since Diablo 4 launched.

Diablo 4 Game Designed, Joe Shely, posted on Twitter, revealing: “We’re going to allow the mount charge to break through barricades. I realized I didn’t state this explicitly during the #Diablo4 campfire chat today.”

Once the Diablo 4 1.1.1 update goes live, players will be able to use their horse’s charge attack to smash through barricades that would have previously required them to find an alternate route.

The announced change was well received by Diablo 4 players, with popular streamer Asmongold calling it a “great idea” in the replies, alongside others who called it “really good news.”

Barricades are a long-running complaint among Diablo 4 players, as they’re typically used by bandits and other enemies to block a path and force Wanderers to find a different way around. This slows progress down and fans have explained that their random spawns make traveling to previously visited locations a slog.

With this change, a simple use of a horse’s charge attack will make light work of any barricades and allow players to carry on their way. This will be especially useful when traveling to the legion event in Scosglen, which has a guaranteed barrier blocking the quickest route.
