Diablo 4 Hotfix 3 finally brings Living Steel buffs & more
Blizzard EntertainmentBlizzard have finally listened to Diablo 4 fans as after hundreds of complaints about the Living Steel chest drops, they released a hotfix essentially solving the entire problem. With several bug fixes along with the major fix, fans are extremely happy with Hotfix 3.
Farming and gathering has always been a major aspect of Diablo 4, with players having to collect items to fight the various endgame bosses in Season 2. However, the Living Steel farm was always a hated aspect of Helltides as players continuously requested the devs to fix it.
Finally, after many complaints, Blizzard have released Diablo 4 Hotfix 3 that addresses this problem in the game. With many other bug fixes alongside it, it seems like the fans are pretty happy with the changes.
Diablo 4 Hotfix 3 brings Living Steel changes
Diablo 4 players were not able to gain a sufficient amount of Living Steel from Helltides, even in World Tier 4. As a result, the grind for several endgame bosses like Duriel and Grigoire became inconvenient to many as there were dozens of complaints about it on the internet.
Finally, the devs have released the hotfix to increase the number of Living Steel obtained during Helltides as the chests will drop two of them in World Tier 3, and five of them in World Tier 4. Aside from this, you will also get an additional chance to gain one or two and five extra Living Steels in WT3 and WT4 respectively.
To top it all off, every other chest during Helltides in Diablo 4 will additionally drop 1 Living Steel in World Tier 4. Blizzard have also made several bug fixes regarding objectives and Living Steel mob spawn during Helltides.

Diablo 4 Hotfix 3 is live on PC and console as players can see the changes that have been implemented in the game, here are the patch notes according to Blizzard’s official website:
Game Updates
The acquisition rate of Living Steel has been adjusted
- Living Steel Chest in World Tier 3: Increased from 1 to 2.
- There is an additional chance for 1-2 extra Living Steels to drop.
- Living Steel Chest in World Tier 4: Increased from 3 to 5.
- There is an additional chance for 5 extra Living Steels to drop.
- All other Helltide chests will additionally grant 1 Living Steel in World Tier 4.
Bug Fixes
- Fixed an issue where Living Steel Chests could not properly spawn.
- Fixed an issue where some players could be prevented from logging in to the game with an error code stating the Season is over.
- Fixed various issues where players could not properly complete Season Journey Objectives.
Overall, Blizzard has achieved a considerable amount of positive feedback about this hotfix as many complained about the Living Steel drop rate in Diablo 4 previously. Although many players still have other requests, don’t be surprised to see some more hotfixes based on community feedback.
