Diablo 4 Season of Blood introduced some fan-acclaimed World Bosses to Sanctuary for players to explore different class builds. These enemies drop many Unique Items and have become the main target for those who still haven’t finished Season 2 challenges.
Lord Zir is a World boss who leads an army of Bloodseekers that tries to invade Diablo 4’s world. If players want to stop the vampire cult leader, they’ll first need to farm a material called Exquisite Blood to summon him.

Diablo 4: Where to find and how to get Exquisite Blood
In Diablo 4 Season of Blood, you’ll need to complete Legion events or defeat World Bosses in Tier IV to get Exquisite Blood.
Keep in mind that Legion events happen randomly every 25 minutes on Sanctuary, but they aren’t usually marked on the mini-map. If you choose to go chasing after a World Boss, remember that only defeating them in World Tier Torment will let you get Exquisite Blood as a reward.
How to summon the Lord Zir in Diablo 4
You’ll need nine Exquisite Blood materials to summon Lord Zir in Diablo 4 Season 2. After you gather them, here are the steps you should follow to summon Lord Zir:
- Go to the eastern border of Fractured Peaks.
- Find an area called “The Darkened Way,” located in the northern Gale Valley area.
- There, you’ll find the entrance to The Ancient’s Seat Dungeon.
- Slay all enemies and cross the bridge leading to The Apotheosis.
- Place nine Exquisite Blood items in the Bloodied Altar.
After placing all the Exquisite Blood in the Bloodied Altar, Lord Zir will finally appear. Keep in mind that you won’t be able to enter this location if you haven’t progressed the Season of Blood storyline for the quest to be available for you.
