Diablo 4: How to place the vial of Purified Quicksilver in Witch of the Wastes quest

Diablo 4’s Witch of the Wastes Quest tasks players with placing a vial of Purified Quicksilver, and if you’re having trouble completing this task then we’ll go over exactly how you can get this done quickly.

When you jump into Diablo 4, you’ll find a variety of different Quests to complete that reveal the story behind Sanctuary, and the Witch of the Wastes Quest requires you to help Donan in attuning the Soulstone for Lilith.

How to place the Diablo 4 vial of Purified Quicksilver

You can get the Purified Quicksilver by defeating Valtha in the swamps of Hawezar. Once that’s done, you’ll need to return to Donan without fast–traveling, and then place the Purified Quicksilver in the bowl on the center table at the Ruined Tower.

Here’s how to place the vial of Purified Quicksilver in Diablo 4:

1. Head to Hawezar’s swamps.
2. Battle and defeat Valtha.
3. Collect the Purifed Quicksilver.
4. Make your way back to Donan.
5. Head to the southwest Quest marker.
6. Place the Purified Quicksilver in the bowl.

It’s important that after you collect the Purified Quicksilver you do not fast-travel to Donan. This is because doing so can cause you to lose the item from your inventory and you won’t be able to place it for this Quest.

The good news is that if you ended up losing the Purified Quicksilver, you can collect it again. You’ll just need to return to where you battled Valtha and add it to your inventory once more. Then, simply make your way on foot to the Ruined Tower.
