Diablo 4 inventories are being taken over by Infernal Compasses & players want changes

While Infernal Hordes have become extremely popular in Season 5, some Diablo 4 players wish the Infernal Compasses didn’t take up that much space in their inventories and have suggested a simple fix.

Infernal Compasses are consumables needed to enter the Realm of Hatred and take on the Infernal Hordes. As they are not stackable, one Compass will take up an entire slot, making inventory management much harder.

Diablo 4 players suggested stackable Infernal Compasses as a solution and took to Reddit to call for the change. “Blizzard – PLEASE make compasses stack. They have overrun everyone’s potion tab,” said user ‘coojw’ while claiming they “deleted over 50” Compasses because of this issue.

Infernal Compasses are available in various tiers which indicate the activity’s difficulty you are set to perform. This is why many suggested that Compasses belonging to the same tier should stack, saving a lot of space in their inventories.

While some went ahead and called it a “bad design,” others suggested that the devs should “make a new tab for seasonal items and boss ingredients.”

Infernal Compasses are salvageable and players can get Sigil Powder by doing so. While this can be a temporary solution for the ones who are really struggling with inventory management, an additional tab or stackable Compasses could be pretty useful.

Blizzard introduced a bunch of inventory and stash fixes in Season 4, and many were surprised to see the issue reoccur: “Every time they add a new consumable they make the same mistake.”

The devs are yet to address this concern and if they have any plans to make the Infernal Compasses stackable in the future. But of course, they have always been aware of the community’s opinions so it’s likely that more QoL fixes are already on the way in the upcoming updates.
