Diablo 4 leak suggests fan-favorite character could return in Season 3

Dataminers are back at it again as Diablo 4 leaks surface on the web, suggesting the return of a famous fan-favorite character in Season 3.

With Diablo 4 Season 2 running on full throttle and several new announcements for the Vessel of Hatred DLC expansion and the Midwinter Blight event, fans of the franchise have a ton to look forward to. However, more news is inbound as dataminers have found interesting information about Diablo 4’s future.

The leak reveals a bunch of new file names, mostly revolving around the upcoming Vessel of Hatred expansion. However, one interesting entry in the Season 3 leak is called the Vault of Zoltun Kulle, which is likely to be very interesting to many Diablo veterans.

Who is Zoltun Kulle in the Diablo franchise?

In Diablo lore, Zoltun Kulle was one of the most powerful sorcerers in the Horadrim, the order responsible for fighting off the Prime Evils. With the leaks reportedly mentioning the Vaults of Zoltan Kulle, many believe the crazy sorcerer can make his return in Diablo 4 Season 3.

Zoltan Kulle’s lore is one of the most interesting stories in the Diablo franchise as he and his corrupt nature played a major part in D3. Although he was a part of the Horadrim, just like Deckard Cain, he was much more vicious and antagonistic in nature.

Although he grew closer to the player during the end of Diablo 3, there are enough reasons for him to seek revenge from Horadrim. After being corrupted with power, Kulle turned on the order and tried to destroy it, just to be defeated and sealed away in pieces.

Bringing back Zoltun Kulle and somehow giving him restoration might give rise to a great new character if the devs decide to bring him back in Diablo 4 Season 3. Although it is yet to be revealed if he will be a major boss, or an ally if the devs actually decide to include him. Regardless of his role, Diablo veterans would be pleased.
