Some Diablo 4 players find the bosses in The Pit to be unfair, as many are furious with the one-shot mechanics in the game.

Diablo 4 Season 4 has been overhauled massively with several welcome changes like Codex fixes, Uber Uniques drop rate increments, and more, but the new The Pit game mode is receiving some stick from the players due to bosses that one-shoot them without much effort.

While it’s quite commendable that the devs introduced this great endgame activity, some players are not entirely happy with the bosses, as they prove to be a larger hurdle than they expected.

Reddit user ‘anakhizer’ emphasized this issue as they posted how they “hate the one-shot mechanics” of The Pit bosses in Diablo 4. Bosses in The Pit are designed to be difficult as you surpass each tier, but the one-shot mechanics have always been a topic of discussion in the community.

While most players who follow the Diablo 4 meta already have some overpowered builds that should be capable of cleaving through the enemies of The Pit, almost all of them get stuck when reaching the boss. “The fun killer is the massive difficulty difference between the boss and everything else in The Pit,” said a player.

Some bosses in The Pit are even more difficult than Uber Lilith.

One of the most dreaded skills that are one-shotting players are the massive AOEs, or as one player explained, how the “AOEs that stack on top of each other.” Some fans are even calling the bosses “unstaggerable” as they just cannot cause enough damage to them, even with top-notch builds.

The OP commented on having a Sorcerer character, known to be glass canons with low HP during the endgame, so it could make sense that some high-tier bosses one-shot them. However, other players pointed out that one-shots are also happening with solid Barbarians and Druids builds despite being known for their durability.

“My thorns barb was getting 1 shot with 140K HP, max armor, [and] max resist on Tier 60,” mentioned another player, while others even went and said that they might “stop playing” due to The Pit bosses in Diablo 4 Season 4.

How Blizzard reacts after this feedback remains to be seen, and we could hope for some serious tweaks for The Pit bosses. Speaking of classes in Diablo 4, here are some great Barbarian, Druid, and Necromancer builds according to the current meta in D4.
