Diablo 4 players can’t help praising Last Epoch skill tree system, and demand Blizzard for a major overhaul inspired by the indie ARPG.

Diablo 4 Season of Construct seems to have reignited players’ most concerning issues about the entire gameplay. Despite Season 2 being able to appease users with the introduction of Vampiric Powers and a plethora of new mechanics, Season 3 hasn’t managed to do the same and was even deemed by fans as “lackluster”.

Since the original release, Diablo 4 players have been overwhelmingly critical of the game’s skill tree, and have maintained throughout every season that it needs a major overhaul to become interesting.

“After getting on Diablo 3, or even Immortal briefly, it’s clear that the skill system in D4 needs a massive overhaul for diversity’s sake. Diablo 3 skills had essentially 5 different versions of that skill, changing the elemental type and so on. D4 gives you, a 20% dmg reduction for 3 seconds or stun for 2 seconds every 12 seconds,” explained user ‘In0nsistentGentleman’ in a Reddit post calling out for this change.

Diablo 4 players quickly gathered to comment how skill trees were “uninteresting” and that quickly became difficult to customize to make builds unique and challenging. Surprisingly, they also compared the game to Last Epoch, an indie ARPG developed by Eleventh Hour Games, that has recently released its first full version.

“I’m having so much fun with Last Epoch skill trees. You can try a lot of crazy combinations and then add some cool items to even further these builds. This is what a good ARPG should provide. I really hope Blizzard gets their sh*t together because I love their games and I want them to be good,” commented user ‘Kokoro87.’

Fans were surprised by the amount of Last Epoch players that chimed in the thread, which all confessed to preferring this indie ARPG thanks to their crafting system, their offline campaign, and of course, its skill tree. “Last Epoch skills literally have their own skill tree, and they have 1/80th the budget. It’s embarrassing for Blizzard,” pointed out user ‘Leo_Heart.’

And that’s why Diablo 4 players are begging Blizzard for a major Skill Tree overhaul. If you want to know more about the game, you can check how players want all boots to include this extremely useful stat and how a player is shocked as Uber Unique makes them almost invincible.
