Diablo 4 players beg for changes to “soul-destroying” solo rewards
Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 solo players are extremely unhappy with how the devs have handled the single-player rewards as they beg for better loot in the game.
Diablo 4 Season 3 is in full swing as the devs have also initiated the Lunar Awakening event alongside the usually seasonal activities. With a boatload of new content such as Vaults and Leaderboards introduced in Season 3, players are quite happy with the state of the game after a few patches and hotfixes.
After the introduction of Uber bosses in Season 2 of Diablo 4, more and more players have resorted to making a clan and traveling with a party in the endgame. However, a fair amount of solo players still remain, and are begging the devs to pay attention to them as well.
Reddit user ‘JerczuUK’ posted about this issue as they claimed that the “game needs to rethink solo players.”
“If you’re a solo player the rewards feel much much more underwhelming than in a group play. The solo grind is tedious and soul destroying,” claimed the OP as they wanted better loot that would make their time worthwhile in Diablo 4.
With more and more players opting for Dungeon runs with a party, many solo players felt the same way as the OP.
Other players added that “people who group up for Uber bosses are 16x as efficient as” solo players in D4 Season 3. “You’re simply spending far more time grinding for fewer items,” they continued. Some players even claimed that the devs needed to add a “group finder” so that everyone could run in a party.
Farming for materials to summon Uber bosses can be a long grind, and this is the prime motivation behind people running Dungeons in groups. Some also added that the Uber Malphas Dungeon, especially, “was designed with 4 players in mind” and was painful for solo wanderers.
Matchmaking has been yet another widely requested feature that would help Diablo 4 solo players find adequate groups. Some players found it “funny” how there was “no matchmaking feature” in the game even after the devs designed a Dungeon for multiplayer action.
Blizzard are yet to address this issue explicitly, but players will be hoping for a fix sooner or later. For more on Diablo 4, check out how players praise simple Barbarian trick to evade AoE attacks easily and how they called out “misleading” cosmetics in Lunar Awakening.
