Diablo 4’s Tormented Echo grind is considered to be “dumb” by many as they call for various fixes to solve the issue and make the endgame experience fun again.

Tormented Echoes are extremely buffed-up versions of Diablo 4‘s Uber bosses, and are some of the newest features of Season 4. Facing them is a rather long procedure due to the constant material farming, so Tormented Echoes where Stygian Stones play a vital part would be an even more difficult job to pull off.

This is why some players have been asking Blizzard to introduce some measures to make the grind fun in Season 4.

Reddit user ‘MISTERJOHNSONSENIOR’ posted about this in the Diablo 4 subreddit as they proposed that Tormented boss material farming should not be “dumb” and players should be able to “empower one Varshan” with all the mats so that he can drop the desired amount of Mucous Slick Eggs at once.

For context, players need to farm other Uber bosses to face off against Tormented Echoes, and the mats remain the same, except for the addition of a Stygian Stone. With most people leaning towards fighting Duriel, Mucous Slick Eggs are quite vital.

Empowering Varshan to drop the required amount of mats would be ideal, but others had some interesting suggestions as well. “Just add an option at the alchemist to transmute mats into Duriel/Andy materials. Leave the other lesser bosses for WT3,” suggested another player.

“I’d be down with the altar just respawning after you kill the boss, leaving the Dungeon and resetting and zoning back in is just such a pain,” suggested another player, as they wanted to minimize the time needed to farm for the required mats.

With Blizzard happy to listen to player feedback and make changes in the upcoming seasons, it remains to be seen how the devs handle this situation effectively. After the announcement of the upcoming DLC, players are excited to see what changes are on the horizon.
