Diablo 4 players call for popular D3 feature to save them from deleting characters
Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 players are desperate for a major Diablo 3 feature to be included in the game. With many new features being added to the title one by one recently, fans are requesting this change for the upcoming seasons.
Many fans are back on board with Diablo 4 Season 2, but new requests and demands are still flowing into the community on a daily basis. As the devs have already shown signs of making the game run for many seasons, fans are worried about their characters.
Character creation has always been a major part of Diablo games and Diablo 4 is no different. Many players are creating multiple characters for each season, and the devs have added two additional character slots in recent patches.
However, Redditor ‘What__Me__Worry’ thought that the character slots were too limited and Blizzard should “implement ‘rebirth’ like in D3” to solve this problem. They continued further by saying that they have two Level 100 characters, and they wanted the option to rebirth instead of deleting them in upcoming seasons.
The rebirth mechanic in Diablo 3 enabled the existing Eternal characters to be used again in a new season, but all of their stats would be reset back to what it was at the beginning. Fans want this same mechanic to be implemented in Diablo 4 to use their characters, and not delete them.
As there are a limited number of slots, players can only create a handful of characters. If they exhaust their openings before a season, they will have to delete one to make space. This is why players “don’t want a copy of classes” and want this feature to be there in Diablo 4.
Players are also worried that they will be “forced to start deleting characters just to make room” even if they have created only one character per season. However, some players were already subjected to this grim fate as those who like to create multiple characters ‘had to delete all of their eternal characters.’
Even though players find the absence of the rebirth mechanic “stupid,” it is still unknown if Blizzard have plans to include this in the future. Even in Diablo 3, this feature was introduced much later after the release, so you can also expect this in Diablo 4.
