Diablo 4 players feel a simple UI fix while traveling on horseback could change the entire navigational experience during their playthroughs.

The Diablo 4 devs have put out a plethora of changes in Season 4 that have completely revamped several features in the game such as upgrading gear, Codex fixes, and many more. While most players are content, they’re now hoping for a fix for horse navigation.

In Diablo 4, there’s no way to know if you are traveling in the right direction or not if you aren’t constantly keeping your eyes on the minimap. Once you have a location tracked on the main map, there’s a guiding line on the minimap, but nothing in the overworld.

This is what Reddit user ‘MonkeDiesTwice’ was unsatisfied with as they added that they just “stare at the minimap while riding their horse” in the Diablo 4 subreddit. The OP’s main argument was that they “never really get to appreciate, or even see the various environments,” while moving around on a horse in the game.

Navigating to various locations could be made easier with an in-game marker.

However, this entire issue could be fixed if Blizzard decide to add the guiding line on the minimap in the overworld itself. Diablo Immortal has this feature where you get to see highlighted footsteps guiding you to your destination.

“Agreed, the way should just be shown on the actual ground of the map,” said a D4 player while others drew inspiration from other famous RPG titles like The Witcher 3 and Ghost of Tsushima, and how they implemented navigation on a horse.

“Such a waste of an amazing game environment when I am focused on a tiny box to play the game,” added another player as they were unhappy with how Blizzard have not implemented a better alternative to the minimap navigation in Diablo 4.

While this isn’t the worst of issues in the game, the devs have been diligently working on fixes and have been quite successful with winning the player base back. That said, a tracking alternative on the actual in-game ground would be a welcome addition to Diablo 4.
