Even though Diablo 4 Season 3 has started to gain some support from the community, there are a lot of players who are fed up with the target farming grind as the loop is making some of them “hate the game.

Diablo 4 Season 3 has been through quite a rollercoaster ride as the first few days were filled with complaints from the community. However, after a quick patch and several fixes, it seems like Season 3 is finally growing among players.

Even though the devs have tried to fix most of the problems as quickly as possible, constant complaints about the farming and loot have been surfacing on the internet since launch. Now that Uber bosses are a major aspect of seasonal gameplay, players are fed up with the target farming in Diablo 4.

Reddit user ‘datpuz’ posted about this issue as they claimed that “farming Duriel sucks” and was “much less fun” compared to target farming in previous Diablo titles. As mentioned by the OP, competing in the new leaderboards requires the players to farm these bosses constantly and they find it to be a “dull activity.”

The OP clarified the comparison with previous games as they argued players “could solo farm” in Diablo 2 while Diablo 3 would drop the necessary gear “naturally” with any target farming. However, they claimed farming Uber Duriel was “painful and dull.”

Most players agreed with the OP as user ‘namjd72’ added: “Everything regarding loot, loot grind, farming, etc is trash. Completely subpar to Diablo 2 in every way.” Others felt that Diablo 4 needs “a lot more Uniques” to make players excited about farming bosses and loot.

Some players even went ahead and claimed that “the highest of endgame goals is gated behind the lowest, most trivial content. It’s like the opposite of what makes sense,” while others slammed the “zero sense of progression” in the Uber Duriel fight.

Blizzard are yet to explicitly address the issue, even though they have made tons of changes about the loot and endgame farming opportunities. Now that the players are demanding better target farming and loot, they’ll be hoping for fixes in a future update.
