Diablo 4 players fed up with wasting gold on “horrendous” rerolls
Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 Season 3 has failed to catch a break as it has been constantly bombarded with complaints since launch, with players now begging for fixes to the reroll system.
Despite being subject to frequent complaints, Diablo 4 has been one of the biggest ARPGs in recent times. With several months having passed since release, the title has now reached Season 3, known as Season of the Construct.
However, Season 3 hasn’t been the smoothest ride for Blizzard as complaints have been flooding in since its beginning, whether they’re about the latest new Vaults or the unending traps. Now that most of them have been patched, players have shifted their attention to the rerolling mechanic in Diablo 4.
Reddit user ‘TheFraggleHammer’ posted about this in the Diablo 4 subreddit as they claimed that “Rerolling items is the WORST experience” in the game. The OP stressed how this mechanic would strip you of “all your gold” and players would not see the stat they want even “once.”
For context, rerolling has always been a gamble in Diablo 4 that requires a large amount of gold depending on gear rarity and the number of times you roll the dice. This mechanic allows you to change your stats with a random one that may or may not be desirable.
The OP claimed to have spent “30 million gold per reroll” just to not get any desirable outcome in Diablo 4 and wanted the devs to “fix that s**t.” One player sarcastically added: “Running out of gold before materials must be nice.”
“Diablo 4 crafting system is probably the single worst I’ve ever seen. They took the Diablo 3 system, made it worse, and put it into the game,” said one player while being in agreement with the OP. Another player simply advised: “Don’t reroll” as they didn’t want others to waste their gold on this method.
Although unsatisfactory results from rerolling have always been a problem in Diablo 4, Blizzard are yet to address this issue explicitly. However, with so many patches being deployed lately, don’t be surprised to get a fix for this issue in the upcoming months.
