Diablo 4 players praise devs as PTR finally announced for Season 4
Blizzard EntertainmentBlizzard just announced the Diablo 4 PTR on their February Campfire Chat and players are already excited about it.
Diablo 4 is soon going to receive its very own Public Test Realm (PTR). Once this feature goes live, players will be able to explore upcoming changes in this realm, before they’re released in the game.
The main benefit of this is the fact that the developers will be able to gather valuable feedback from the players before it’s launched into the main game. The players on the other hand will be able to test out new features for themselves before it’s released in Diablo 4.
‘Foolish-gardener’ took to Reddit to share their excitement about the PTR coming to Diablo 4. They also added that they were glad Blizzard was taking Season 4 so seriously.
A player responded to the OP and said, “Unironically good news. If they did this after Season 1, the game might’ve been in a far better place now.”
However, there were a few players who expressed their doubts about the Diablo 4 PTR. ‘FandoYT’ commented, “Sadly, WoW has done PTR before and they didn’t listen to literally any of the changes. PTR sounds nice and shiny right now, but they have done so many things to make me not trust what they’re saying.”
Others dismissed the above comment with the example that the Diablo 3 PTR was very helpful and that Blizzard had actually listened to the feedback they received.
‘Normzidius669’ replied, “D3 PTRs were always positive and feedback was heard and changes made. WoW PTRs can be difficult because most of the stuff couldn’t be tested or worked too intricately with other mechanics .”
Overall, players are positive that the Diablo 4 PTR will be beneficial towards the longevity of the game. Whether it works out well or not is something that remains to be seen once the feature goes live.
