Diablo 4 players slam Gold drop rates despite 35% event boost
Blizzard EntertainmentA 35% boost to Gold drops in Diablo 4 is not enough to win the hearts of players as they aren’t pleased with the low rate of loot.
Diablo 4‘s one-year anniversary has not had the best possible start. Even after an immensely successful Season 4 launch and a 35% increase in Gold drop rates during Mother’s Blessing, players have started to complain about the low drops.
Mother’s Blessing has been a part of Diablo 4 for quite some time now for players to get more XP and Gold drops. These are some of the most important aspects of the game, but it seems like this is not enough to satisfy players.
Reddit user ‘Guilliman88’ posted about this in the Diablo 4 subreddit as they claimed that “mobs dropping 3000 Gold instead of 2000 is still meaningless.” The OP further clarified that the “Gold bonus should have been at least 350% or even 3500% instead of 35%.”
For context, Gold drops have been significantly reduced in Season 4. Even though the quality of overall loot has been quite impressive, some players wanted more Gold during the Mother’s Blessing event as 35% is not enough for them.
“[The] biggest problem is decision-makers simply do not play the game,” suggested a player as they wanted the devs to pay more attention to their needs, while others were convinced that the Diablo 4 devs “really f****d this event up.”
With low Gold drops, a larger boost during Mother’s Blessing would have been a great touch to Season 4’s already impressive performance. As Masterworking and Enchanting costs have gone through the roof, more Gold is always encouraged, especially during such special occasions.
However, this won’t be the last Mother’s Blessing. At least once each season, Diablo 4 has seen this event take place in Sanctuary. So it remains to be seen how the devs act on this feedback about Gold drops from here.
