Diablo 4 players suggest major change to fix “dumb” Uber Unique crafting requirement

Diablo 4 Season 3 has received a few updates since release, including one that allows players to craft and salvage Uber Uniques. The player response to the change has been less than ideal, as many have offered suggestions to make the system better.

Uber Uniques in Diablo 4 are extremely rare weapons, armor, and other items that previously could only be dropped by farming Uber Duriel. After Patch 1.3.2, these items became more likely to drop everywhere and not only against Duriel.

Players are also able to craft Uber Uniques using Resplendent Sparks, which can be obtained by salvaging the Uber Uniques you already have but don’t have much use for. You get one Resplendent Spark for each salvaged Uber Unique, so you need at least five Ubers to craft a new one.

Some Diablo 4 fans are concerned that this number is too high, however, considering the rarity of Uber Uniques. “Who even has five EXTRA Ubers that they are willing to part with? What were they thinking with this number?” ‘xComradeKyle’ asked in a post on Reddit.

“The change is great, but literally only for the .03% of players that buy mats and do thousands of runs,” they continued.

Players in the comments agreed with the OP’s concerns, saying that it would have been better to just rather keep to increasing the drop rates of Uber Uniques in Diablo 4 instead of introducing a crafting system.

Another player suggested that Resplendent Sparks could have a chance to drop from regular Uniques to combat this issue. “Why not even let the normal Uniques be broke down and have a chance of dropping the new material, only like the top one percent of people will ever get five Ubers,” they explained.

Fans agreed that a change like this may be viable, especially for those who didn’t endlessly farm Duriel and have a lot of extra Uber Uniqes at their disposal.

“An easy improvement would be something like normal Uniques break down into one material, Ubers break into five, and you need five to make a unique and 25 to make an Uber,” one player suggested.

The system is still new to the game, so there is a chance Blizzard will make some changes to how it works in future. We will keep you posted with any updates on the Uber Unique crafting system.
