Diablo 4 Season 5 brings 50 new Uniques & Legendaries alongside huge buffs
Blizzard EntertainmentDiablo 4 will have 50 new Legendaries and Uniques in Season 5 and each of these items, alongside those already in the game, will receive massive buffs.
In the developer update and blog post released on July 30, Blizzard confirmed these major additions meaning that players will have an even wider range of loot to fight for in the hellish corners of Sanctuary.
The new weapons will also be released with Hellish qualities as they “possess qualities that evoke the Burning Hells from which they were crafted.”
The new Infernal Hordes game mode will have boosted drop rates for these items, as players can farm them from the Spoils of Hell. For context, this is a new wave-like game mode, where Spoils of Hell are the rewards you get for slaying a set number of enemies – just like Helltides.
The blog confirmed that they want to make Uniques “special” and “build defining” after they took a hit from Tempering and Masterworking in Season 4.
It’s impossible to Temper Unique gear, so many players tend to avoid them completely to look for other items that they can use instead, and Season 5 aims to change that.
With more and more players aiming for Uber Uniques in Diablo 4, the devs want them to feel as excited about other Legendary and Unique items. So powering them up and increasing their quantity should make all kinds of loot rewarding in Season 5.
However, Blizzard are yet to reveal what Season 5’s new Legendaries and Uniques will be and how the previous set of items will be buffed. With the detailed patch notes set to be released on August 1, we will be sure to keep you updated on all the new changes and additions.
