Diablo 4’s Sorcerer class has been left behind and players want major change
BlizzardDiablo 4 Season 4 featured a major overhaul to all systems, and its mid-season update has also buffed all classes to give them a chance when facing The Pit’s bosses. However, players noticed that Sorcerers weren’t taken much into consideration and reported that even one of the class’s Uniques is completely bugged.
Blizzard had a huge class balance problem when Diablo 4 was launched, which they tried to solve as seasons went by. While players managed to get incredible builds for the Sorcerer class despite all their issues, they have been constantly reporting problems with their skills and Legendary Aspects.
This time, they’ve discovered that the Tal Rasha’s Iridescent Loon Unique item is bugged, which leads to reduced Increased Elemental Damage that some endgame builds rely on. According to fans, this happened after they patched this Unique and removed one stack of damage instead of reducing its cap.
After four seasons, even Sorcerer mains feel discouraged from playing their favorite class, especially after seeing how Barbarians are heavily favored in each patch and can achieve an insane amount of damage that spellcasters can only dream of.
“I’m also a Sorc main and made my first Barb this season. The difference in power is pretty absurd, and I’m wondering how the devs look at this season after season and give it the nod,” said a player in the Diablo 4 subreddit.
Adam Fletcher, the game’s Global Community Development Director, promised a few weeks ago that the next hotfixes would fix the issues that Sorcerer players have been reporting. However, three updates, including the mid-season patch, have gone by, and Blizzard have yet to address the problems that are causing one of the game’s historically most popular classes to crumble.
The Diablo 4 community is wondering why Sorcerers are still being ignored, and are waiting for a much-needed overhaul to this class, as well as a way to save “bricked” items before the Vessel of Hatred DLC launches.
