If you want a taste of Diablo 4‘s Infernal Hordes, try out the brand-new Hellbreach Dungeons in Season 5, as these serve as your first introduction to the endgame activity. These Dungeons also have a boss fight at the end and reward you with Burning Aethers.

So, if you are interested in running them in Season 5, here’s everything you need to know about Hellbreach Dungeons in Diablo 4.

What are Hellbreach Dungeons in Diablo 4?

Hellbreach Dungeons will be your first step towards facing the perils of Infernal Hordes this season. You can find them scattered around Sanctuary just like other Dungeons and can try them out whenever you want.

They are a bit different than the other Dungeons in Diablo 4 including NMDs, as they also reward Burning Aether as you explore it and finally defeat the boss. Just like Infernal Hordes, you can then redeem your Aethers and get your rewards in the end.

But, facing the final boss is not that simple, as you will first have to make a vital choice with the Infernal Offering. You will be offered to choose between Banes & Boons to increase the difficulty of the final fight.

If you choose a more difficult setting, you’ll get better rewards compared to the default option, so keep that in mind before making a choice. Finally, spend all your Burning Aethers on the Chests at the end as they disappear permanently once you leave the Dungeon.

Should you increase difficulty in Hellbreach Dungeons?

Yes, you should try and increase the difficulty before facing the final boss in Hellbreach Dungeons. If you have a decent enough build to make you glide through the mid-game stages of Diablo 4, choosing the better Infernal Offering is always recommended.

With Legendaries and Uniques being increased in number in Season 5, you can stumble upon some of the best Hellish Uniques in the game by increasing the difficulty and making yourself ready to face the real Infernal Hordes.

Season 5 has a bunch of challenging activities to take part in, so make sure that you are ready with the best builds and choose the right Unique items for your run.
