Diablo 4 Season 2 hands out a wide range of tasks to players one of which includes opening Silent Chests. From all the chest locations to how to open them, here’s everything to know about Silent Chests and Whispering Keys in Diablo 4 Season 2.

Diablo 4 Season 2 has arrived with several new mechanics like Vampiric Powers, Pacts, Potent Blood, Blood Harvest, and many more. The developers have also nerfed and buffed the classes to balance the meta and the wide range of quality-of-life upgrades are like icing on the cake.

Having said that, most core mechanics in the game like Silent Chests and Whispering Keys still work the same way, and knowing about them can definitely help you progress in the Season 2 journey.

All Silent Chest locations in Diablo 4 Season 2

There are six Silent Chests in Diablo 4 Season 2 that have permanent spawn locations:

Fractured Peaks

There are three Silent Chests in the Fractured Peaks. The first chest is near the Frigid Expanse region and the chest’s exact location is near the eastern coast of the lake:

A Whispering Key is consumed from your inventory upon opening a Silent Chest.

The second chest is located in the Mistral Woods in the Gale Valley of Fractured Peaks:

The loot from Silent Chests is much better than standard chests.

The Desolate Highlands in Fractured Peaks have the third Silent Chest. Head to Nevesk’s waypoint and go south to reach the exact location:

Silent Chests also spawn randomly around the map.

Kehjistan

The first Silent Chest in Kehjistan is located in the middle of the Scouring Sands region. Look for a rock formation and the chest is right beside it:

The second chest in Kehjistan is located in the Dilapidated Aqueducts which is a dead-end near Caldeum:

Silent Chests won’t open without a Whispering Key in Diablo 4.

Hawezar

Head to Fethis Wetlands in Hawezar to find a Silent Chest and there’s also a Cellar near it to help you navigate:

How to open Silent Chests in Diablo 4 Season 2

You can open Silent Chests in Diablo 4 through Whispering Keys which can be purchased from the Purveyor of Curiosities vendors. These vendors be found in the back streets of different towns and hub areas and buying a Whispering Key will cost you 20 Murmuring Obols.

You can get Murmuring Obols by completing quests and different events throughout Diablo 4, such as purifying Cursed Chests and Shrines that you find in dungeons. You can’t find Whispering Keys in the wild so this is the only way to obtain them.
