How to prepare for Diablo 4 Season 5 – Everything to do before launch
BlizzardWith Diablo 4 Season 5 set to launch on August 6, 2024, there are a few preparatory measures that you need to take to get ready to tackle the new season head-on.
As seen in the Season 5 PTR, there are a lot of new activities that are coming to the game in Season 5, including a new questline in the Eternal Realm.
So, here’s a checklist that you can use if you’re looking to prepare for the new seasonal launch.
What to do before Diablo 4 Season 5
- Finish the campaign
- Find all 160 Altar of Lilith statues
- Unlock all map areas
- Keep track of your Codex of Power
- Farm Renown
Finish the campaign
You must complete the Diablo 4 campaign to unlock the seasonal content. If you are a new player, this is one of the most important steps before heading off to your first seasonal experience.
If you’ve completed the campaign with any of your characters, you’ll have the option to skip it whenever you begin a new character, so it will just be a one-time endeavor.
Find all 160 Altar of Lilith statues
You’ll want to find all 160 Altar of Lilith statues before the new season drops, as it provides your character with the following stats by default:
- 68 Strength
- 68 Intelligence
- 68 Willpower
- 68 Dexterity
- 100 Murmuring Obols capacity
- 4 Paragon Points
It’s also worth noting that you’ll need to do this only once, so if you’ve found all 160 Altar of Lilith statues, then the progress will carry over to the following seasons.
Track your Codex of Power
There are two ways you can get Legendary Aspects in Diablo 4; by completing dungeons or by salvaging Legendary gear.
So, before starting the new season, you can make a note of the Aspects you need, based on the build that you want to try out so that you can grind those dungeons early in Season 5.
Unlock all Renown rewards
You can earn a maximum of 2000 Renown per region, which brings up the total amount of renown to 10,000. Once you’ve unlocked everything, here are the permanent bonuses that you’ll get:
- +10 Skill Points
- +5 Potion Capacity
- +20 Paragon Points
- +400 Max Obols capacity.
While the aforementioned bonuses will be available to you across seasons, after you’ve unlocked them once, you’ll have to hit the necessary reward tiers again, if you want to unlock the bonus XP and the Gold rewards you get by hitting these tiers.
Both Skill Points and Potion Charges are very important for any Diablo 4 character and you’ll have a massive advantage with these buffs early on. You can also get additional Paragon points once you have farmed enough Renown in a region.
Season 5 will arrive with its seasonal mechanics, but players want this feature to become a permanent addition to the game. Also, as leaks have suggested, a brand new World of Warcraft crossover could be on the cards too.
