How to trade items with other players in Diablo 4
To trade in Diablo 4, approach another player, add them to your party, and use the “Invite to Trade” option on the action wheel. This might take a while as many players tend to ignore the in-game chat while playing.
Once you have found the right trading partner, follow these steps:
- Make sure that they accept your party invite so that both of you can be in the same world.
- Once both of you are ready, open your action wheel and click on “Invite to Trade” to start the process.
- Once your trading partner accepts the offer, you can put your desired items in the trading window.
- Click on “Lock in Offer” once both of you are happy with the choices to finish the trading process.
Diablo 4 trading limitations: What can I trade?
Keep in mind that there are several limitations to this feature in Diablo 4. Here are the items you cannot trade in the game:
- Legendary and Unique items
- Quest items
- Equipped items
- Enchanted items
- Any currency other than gold
- Scrolls of Escape
Aside from these items mentioned above, you can trade everything else in the game. Many players tend to aim for high-tier Rare items that can be upgraded into a Legendary once the trade is complete. Aside from that you can also earn a lot of gold by trading some of your own loot too.
