Diablo 4 fans can’t wait for the Season 3 theme to be announced, and without any news from Blizzard, they started theorizing what type of creatures might invade Sanctuary this time.

Diablo 4 Season of Blood is set to finish at the end of the month, and Blizzard haven’t confirmed anything about upcoming content for Season 3. Aside from a brief sneak-peak of the “Vessel of Hatred” DLC, there hasn’t been any official confirmation of what Diablo 4 has in store for Sanctuary.

While Season 2 was much more successful than Season of the Malignant, Diablo 4 fans are anxious to see what theme and endgame activities Season 3 is planning to add. Some players pointed out that based on the alleged file names leaked before Blizzcon 2023, this new season could be centered around runestones and constructs.

“The Season will be themed around constructs as enemies, we will have a construct ally that we upgrade with skills which will be the power mechanic. We will run through vaults with rewards at the end, but they will have a lot of traps in them including exploding chests, pillars that shoot arrows in a circle, etc,” described Redditor ‘Keegsahart.’

This theory also adds that Diablo 4 Season 3 might add a new mechanic through runestones, where players might be able to use crafting stones to create special Affixes on specific gear.

Other players feel that successful Season 2 content might stay, like Blizzard did with Malignant Rings. Fans pointed out that Blood Harvest events would surely still be found in Sanctuary.

There are some Redditors who debated that Diablo 4 Season 3 might introduce a new conflict between heaven and hell and pointed out some content shown during the Book of Lorath series.

“I think it might be time for Angel stuff. There’s a whole tile set in that tree, if you remember the Lorath videos and the campaign. I think Norelle and Mephisto are going to be saved for a large DLC,” claimed Redditor ‘FarVision5.’

Diablo 4 fans who based their theories on leaked game files, said that Season 3 might not have “a lot of stuff:” “It won’t be as bad as S1, but I really don’t see it getting much better. Truly hope I’m wrong. I did enjoy S2, but inevitably got pretty bred by the time AoZ came out,” stated Redditor ‘TurtleJones.’

And that’s what Diablo 4 fans are theorizing about the Season 3 theme. If you want to know more about Blizzard’s ARPG, you can check when Season 2 will finally end and which are players’ “unforgettable” Butcher showdowns.
