From a rumor amongst fans that later turned into a long-running joke, the secret cow level has been the talk of the town in the Diablo 4 community for quite some time now. While the game didn’t include any reference to it first, Season 2 introduced some elements that hint at the possibility of it being real.
First discovered by data miners, Diablo 4 developers seem to confirm the existence of the cow level and have suggested that you should hold onto items picked up during their cow quests.
But unlocking the secret cow level in Diablo requires you to find and farm cows first to get the needed Relics. Here are the best routes and locations that players reported to farm cows in Diablo 4 Season 2.
Diablo 4: All cow locations for secret cow level
Diablo 4 fans have pointed out two locations to find cows that can come in handy when trying to farm the 666 cows needed to get the Three Relics. Here’s where to find cows in Diablo 4 Season 2:
Diablo 4 Cerrigar route to farm cows
You can find up to 18 cows every time you reset the Cerrigar route in Diablo 4 Season 2. Here’s the location of every place where you can find cows:
- After using the Cerrigar waypoint, head north to find the first farm.
- Teleport again to Cerrigar and head southwest, where you’ll find some small farms with 2 to 6 cows.
- Head northeast to wipe off a large farm.
- Head southwest, where you’ll find a cow stuck into a narrow passage.
- Go to the nearest town and log out to the Character Select menu for the cows to respawn.
Diablo 4 Farobru route to farm cows
The Farobru route is described as the most effective to find cows in Diablo 4 Season 2. Here’s the location of the farms located on the Farobru route in the Dry Steppes:
- After using the Farobru waypoint, go south to find the first small farm.
- Go west to get a large farm, where you’ll find up to 3 cows.
- Then head north to farm the last 3 cows.
- Reset the route by teleporting to the nearest town and logging out to Character Select.
Diablo 4 Zarbinzet route to farm cows
There are two routes in Zarbinzet which you can take to farm the cows. Route 1 has a lot of enemies near the cows when compared to other routes.
Route 1:
- Go out of Zarbinzet from the Southeast gate and go to the closest farm where you’ll come across up to 3 cows.
- Then move West and clean up the small farm with up to 3 cows.
- Finally, go further West and finish the last farm where again you’ll find up to 1-3 cows.
Route 2:
- Going out from the Southwest gate in Zarbinzet, you’ll find up to 9 cows here.
- Then go East through the World Boss area to the first farm shown and farm the cows here.
- Head to the North and finish the small farm to the East which has up to 3 cows.
- Finally, go west and clean up the last farm with up to 3 cows.
Diablo 4 Jirandai route to farm cows
The Jirandai route has farms located fairly close to each other which can make cow farming faster.
- Head out of Jirandai and go to the southernmost farm and clear the cows present here.
- Then move to the easternmost farm where you’ll find up to 3 cows,
- Finally, go to the northernmost farm to clear up to 3 cows.
