Apex Legends has a reputation for its fast-paced movement, smooth gunplay, and team-oriented gameplay. However, some gamers are curious if the battle royale also has a solo mode. Here’s what you need to know about solos mode in Apex Legends

Apex Legends provides players with a lot of content to dig their teeth into, as each season brings buffs, nerfs, and plenty of new content, such as the Legend Upgrades in Season 20.

While Apex is a team-orientated battle royale game that features many Legends with different abilities that complement each other, some players prefer to do it all alone. Since other battle royale games like Warzone have a solo mode, many may be wondering whether Apex Legends does too.

Is there a solo mode in Apex Legends?

Unfortunately, the game doesn’t currently have an exclusive solo mode in the battle royale playlist. However, If you are not enjoying the regular battle royale mode, try the Mixtape playlist that consists of Gun Run, Team Deathmatch, and Control.

Ever since the Iron Crown event from Season 2 of Apex Legends, which brought a limited-time solo mode, players have been begging the devs to bring it back. However, the devs have since stated that the game was not made for a Solo mode as the Legends were designed to complement and counter each other.

That said, there is a way you can play a match without teammates, which is as close as you can get.

How to solo queue in Apex Legends

Although it isn’t a true solo mode, there is a great way for lone players to enjoy the game through solo queuing in Duos, which is much more reasonable than trying it in Trios.

Select Battle Royale Duos on the lobby screen.
Above the game mode box in the bottom left of the menu, you should see an option called “Fill Teammates.”
Simply make sure this option is unticked before entering and match and you will jump in without teammates.
