Assassinations have been a popular mechanic in past Halo games, which has lead to many players asking a simple question. Does Halo Infinite have assassinations?

There is plenty of excitement in the Halo community currently, with the first technical preview flight having taken place, giving players their first taste of what the newest entry in the popular first-person shooter franchise has to offer.

This and future technical preview flights are older builds of the highly-anticipated game, but that has not stopped 343 Industries from delivering details of how the game will function when it launches later this year.

One of the biggest details recently revealed about Halo Infinite when it launches dealt with whether or not the game will have assassinations available for players to use in battle.

With this in mind, here are the latest details regarding Halo Infinite assassinations.

Halo Infinite Assassinations

Does Halo Infinite have assassinations?

According to a report by Daily Research Plot, Lead Developer Tom French confirmed that there would not be Halo Infinite assassinations available when the game first launches.

This particular melee feature was first introduced into the fan-favorite franchise back when Halo: Reach was released.

However, French stated that 343 Industries would be examing this particular feature further and are not ruling out creating Halo Infinite assassinations in the future, but players looking to take advantage of this mechanic when the game launches will not be able to and will have to wait until they are potentially added in the future.

We will continue to update this piece with the latest details surrounding Halo Infinite assassinations when officially made available to the community.

It will be very interesting to see how the community fairs without the inclusion of the assassinations feature. However, with the game still being a ways away from being released, there is no doubt that 343 Industries will be looking for feedback on topics like this and will be using it to make decisions on the game’s development past its launch date.
