Assassinations have been a popular mechanic in past Halo games, which has lead to many players asking a simple question. Does Halo Infinite have assassinations?
There is plenty of excitement in the Halo community currently, with the first technical preview flight having taken place, giving players their first taste of what the newest entry in the popular first-person shooter franchise has to offer.
This and future technical preview flights are older builds of the highly-anticipated game, but that has not stopped 343 Industries from delivering details of how the game will function when it launches later this year.
One of the biggest details recently revealed about Halo Infinite when it launches dealt with whether or not the game will have assassinations available for players to use in battle.
With this in mind, here are the latest details regarding Halo Infinite assassinations.
Does Halo Infinite have assassinations?
According to a report by Daily Research Plot, Lead Developer Tom French confirmed that there would not be Halo Infinite assassinations available when the game first launches.
This particular melee feature was first introduced into the fan-favorite franchise back when Halo: Reach was released.
However, French stated that 343 Industries would be examing this particular feature further and are not ruling out creating Halo Infinite assassinations in the future, but players looking to take advantage of this mechanic when the game launches will not be able to and will have to wait until they are potentially added in the future.
We will continue to update this piece with the latest details surrounding Halo Infinite assassinations when officially made available to the community.

It will be very interesting to see how the community fairs without the inclusion of the assassinations feature. However, with the game still being a ways away from being released, there is no doubt that 343 Industries will be looking for feedback on topics like this and will be using it to make decisions on the game’s development past its launch date.

Best cheap midfielders in FUT 22
We won’t lie. Some of these players will be pushing seven digits in terms of their value, maybe even greatly surpassing it considering they could be the best FIFA 22 Ultimate midfielders.
So until you can rack up some coins or pray to the heavens that you get some pack luck on your side, you’ll need some cheaper alternatives in the meantime.
The football scene has some great prospects at the moment and lots of players who will receive a nice overall boost thanks to their performances at Euro 2020.
Barcelona’s hot prospect Pedri boasts great dribbling ability and passing potential. Given his age, FIFA may do him dirty and give him reduced stamina, but he could be one to watch.
Also, players like Everton’s Allan and Doucoure should be decent all-around options, not too expensive, and ideal for chemistry. You can also never rule out Renato Sanches, especially as he’s just won Ligue 1 and played for Portugal in Euro 2020.

Are GTA Online servers down? Current server status
We’ve put together this quick help guide to make sure you find out if the GTA Online servers are currently up and running.
GTA Online features intense multiplayer action every day across many different platforms, but this puts a strain on the servers, so check to see if your platform’s servers are operational right now.
Eight years after its original release and GTA V is still going in strong, particularly its online multiplayer component.
However, like anything that requires online connectivity, GTA Online uses servers, and they don’t always work. Our guide should assist you in finding out if the servers for your chosen platform are currently in perfect working order.
Are the GTA Online servers currently online?
Naturally, GTA Online’s servers might be overwhelmed now and again, due to how many people are playing the game.
Before you start checking your internet connection and the status of your platform’s network, first check Rockstar’s official server status update page.
The latest major outage was reported on September 23, 2021, with the GTA Online servers going down on several platforms.
How to check the status of the GTA Online servers?
If you’re desperate to keep on top of the situation so that you know when you can go back online, then we have the right place for you to check.
On Rockstar’s official website, they have their own dedicated Rockstar Service Status page that details the status of each of their major game’s online servers.
Its easy-to-use system lists the various platforms for Red Dead Online and GTA Online, in particular, and it highlights if the system is fully operational, partially operational, or unavailable at the moment.
GTA Online PS3 and Xbox 360 servers shutting down
The status page isn’t going to have to update the status of the PS3 and Xbox 360 servers for too much longer as Rockstar confirmed that they would be going offline in 2021.
“The PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions of GTA Online, including website stat tracking via the Rockstar Games Social Club, will officially be shutting down on December 16, 2021. In addition, Shark Cash Cards for GTA Online will no longer be sold for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions after September 15, 2021,” Rockstar’s news post said.
So if you’re ever having an issue connecting to the GTA Online servers, then consider checking out Rockstar’s service help page for potential guidance.

Best Halo Infinite FOV settings
Here are the best FOV settings for Halo Infinite, no matter your platform or whether you play on controller or mouse and keyboard.
Halo Infinite is the first iteration of the game to include an FOV slider on consoles, giving players more control over how their game feels. The perfect field of view can give you a major advantage, and we’ve got the best settings for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
While Warzone players are still waiting for the highly-anticipated feature, Halo Infinite gives Xbox players the option to change their FOV. This allows players to change how much they can see in front of them, expanding their peripheral view.
Having the best Halo Infinite settings, regardless of whether you’re on PC or Xbox, can give you a major advantage over opponents, and tweaking your FOV slider can let you see more of the map than your opponents.
A higher FOV is generally regarded as more effective than a lower, as you can spot enemies at the edge of your screen that would usually be cut off.
With two weekends of Halo Infinite flight tests about to kick off, here are the best FOV settings for Halo Infinite on both Xbox consoles and PC.

Best FOV for Halo Infinite on Xbox One & Series X|S
While having a high FOV can be a significant improvement, it also comes with its own drawbacks.
The main downside to having a high FOV is performance. Cranking your FOV to max will force the game to display much more information on-screen, which will be taxing on your system. It’s all about striking a balance – are you willing to sacrifice frame rate for a higher FOV?

If you’re playing Halo Infinite on the original Xbox One, we recommend a FOV of 85 – 95. The older console isn’t as powerful as its replacement and may struggle to maintain high framerates if you push it higher than 95.
The Xbox Series X and S are significantly more powerful though, so you should be able to run Halo Infinite at 100 – 110 FOV comfortably.
Best FOV for Halo Infinite on PC
Unlike the Xbox One and Xbox Series X|S, there’s no way to give a definite recommendation.
If you’re running an NVIDIA RTX 20 or 30 Series GPU (or equivalent), you should have no trouble cranking the FOV all the way to max. Halo Infinite’s PC requirements aren’t too demanding, but older systems will need to strike a balance between FOV and frames.
Being conscious of hardware, here are the recommended FOVs for PC players:
- NVIDIA GTX 960 (minimum GPU): 80 FOV
- NVIDIA GTX 10 Series (recommended GPU): 95-105
- NVIDIA RTX 20 & 30 Series: 110-120
Best FOV for Halo Infinite on controller
As Halo has long been a console game, the vast majority of players will choose to game on a controller – it’ll be what feels natural.
However, aim assist comes into play when choosing your FOV. When cranking your FOV to fit more information on-screen, it will actually shrink everything to fit more. This will make far-off player models considerably smaller, and therefore more difficult to hit.
Skilled players may not have a problem with this, but for the average player, we recommend setting your FOV anywhere between 95-105. You’ll still get that extra spatial awareness without the targets shrinking too much.
Best FOV for Halo Infinite on mouse and keyboard
A large chunk of PC players will likely play Halo Infinite on a mouse and keyboard. It’s a well-known fact that a mouse offers finer aim control than a controller with aim assist, so if you’re a skilled marksman, you should have no trouble making those micro-adjustments with a high FOV.
If you’re playing Halo Infinite on a mouse and keyboard, we recommend a FOV of around 110, and you can adjust it either way to suit your preference.
What is a FOV Slider?
A FOV slider allows players to change their field of view on the screen to see more of their surroundings. This would let you see more of what is on either side of the direction your character is facing, increasing your peripheral view.
In Halo Infinite, the default FOV is set to 78.
Bear in mind that these are the recommended settings, and you’ll be able to find your ideal settings by experimenting.
Battlefield 2042 will also be releasing towards the end of the year, so you can check out how to play in its Open Beta.
