Does Warzone have an anti-cheat?

Let’s clear some community misconceptions regarding the anti-cheat in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Let’s discuss some of the main community misconceptions regarding anti-cheat measures in Call of Duty Warzone.

Warzone has been the hot topic of debate among the gaming community due to the excessive issues with players cheating in the game. Since the release of Warzone, players using aimbot and wallhacks have been a regular occurrence for players, and its led to increased frustration amongst the community.

This also becomes a worse issue for high-performing players, since Warzone utilizes skill-based matchmaking, which means players who cheat are likely to play against the highest-skilled players. Due to the volume of cheaters, it has led many players to believe the game has no anti-cheat at all.

So does Warzone have an anti-cheat?

In short – yes it does. Warzone has an anti-cheat. It is not conventional like other games, as it seems to be built into the game, rather than a dedicated third party tool, or separate install. Players seem to be asking more for a traditional anti-cheat, which many popular games opt to use, such as Fortnite and Battlefield.

Infinity Ward has touted this past September that they have banned over 200,000 accounts for cheating, but due to the game being free-to-play, it seems that players are simply making new accounts and cheating again.

Since this tweet, we have not received much more information about the on-going anti-cheat efforts for the franchise. In an Activision blog in April of 2020, it was promised we’d get more updates on the amount of players banned as needed. Since then, it seems we only got one update in September.

The lack of communication regarding the anti-cheat seems to be the main issue among players, and the confusion regarding the number of bans and effort put into banning players will most likely continue to be an issue until there is further comment from Activision.

Best Oden loadout for CoD: Warzone Season 2

The Oden deals significant damage at range, so here are the best attachments and perks to dominate with it in Warzone Season 2.

Warzone Oden

With a low fire rate but high damage, the Oden is an extremely strong choice of weapon to use in Warzone Season 2. Here are the best attachments and perks to maximize its potential.

As Warzone has developed, fights are often decided at range. Long-range guns such as the AUG, Kar98k, and AMAX have shot up in popularity, and, if built right, the Oden can contend with any of these weapons. Modern Warfare’s Assault Rifles are usually fast firing with low recoil, but the Oden prioritizes damage per bullet over fire rate, allowing it to blast away enemies’ armor at any range.

We’ve put together the attachments and perks you should run to dominate Verdansk with the Oden.

Oden Warzone Season 2 class

  • Muzzle: Colossus Suppressor
  • Barrel: Oden Factory 730mm
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 30 Round Mags

The Oden dominates in the long lines of sight that Warzone offers. With a slow fire rate but a powerful punch, the Oden is devastating in the hands of an accurate player. We’ve built this Oden to maximize its accuracy and damage at range, making it a great choice for any player.

To increase the weapon’s effective damage range and recoil control, we’ve added the Colossus Suppressor. While large and heavy, this silencer improves the Oden’s recoil control, bullet velocity, and damage range. For an extra bonus, you’ll be hidden from the mini map when firing.

To further improve its damage range, the Oden Factory 730mm barrel is a perfect choice. Your damage over range will be improved further, but you won’t be slowed down as much as if you use the 810mm option. It’s worth using the popular Commando Foregrip for extra recoil control, too.

For optics, there’s no better scope than the VLK 3.0x Optic. This magnified scope offers great visibility at all ranges, which will make aiming for the head and chest much easier when using the Oden at distance. And finally, to make sure you can drop several enemies before reloading, the 30 Round Mags will be necessary.

Best perks to use with Warzone Oden

  • Perk 1: Double Time
  • Perk 2: Overkill then Ghost
  • Perk 3: Amped

The Oden is one of the heaviest Assault Rifles Warzone has to offer, so if you want some extra mobility while navigating the map, Double Time is the perk for you. You’ll be able to Tactical Sprint for longer, and crouch walk faster to help strafe in engagements.

amped perk in warzone

As this Oden is built for long-range, it’s worth running an SMG or Shotgun for fighting up close, and Overkill will allow you to carry two primary weapons. Once you have your guns, you should try to get Ghost from your next loadout to also be hidden from UAVs and Heartbeat Sensors.

And finally, with the weight of the Oden, weapon swapping will be agonizingly slow, so Amped will remove that delay, allowing you to switch guns instantly.

Try out the Oden with these attachments and perks in Warzone Season 2, and you’ll be a force to be reckoned with.

Dr Disrespect explains why Warzone is the best battle royale

Streamer Dr Disrespect has explained why he believes Warzone is the best battle royale experience out there.

Dr Disrespect Warzone

Streamer Dr Disrespect has explained why he believes Call of Duty: Warzone is the “funnest battle royale out there,” comparing it to another BR giant, Apex Legends.

Streamer Dr Disrespect is no stranger to the battle royale genre, having been playing and streaming the wildly-popular mode since its infancy. Now, in 2021, Warzone, Respawn’s Apex Legends, and Fortnite lead the pack, and Dr Disrespect has explained why he believes Warzone is the best there is.

Doc has been switching between Valorant and Warzone for his YouTube streams, as they offer wildly different shooter experiences. After a viewer claimed that “Warzone is dead and CoD players are hurting,” Dr Disrespect hit back, explaining why Warzone is his favorite battle royale.

CoD Warzone battle

“When I go to Warzone I know what I’m going to get,” he explained. “I’m going to get a fix of, probably, the funnest BR out there.”

Dr Disrespect admitted that “Apex is cool,” but “you get everything with Warzone – it’s fast-paced, you know what you’re getting, you’re landing hot, you’re constantly getting engaged. It’s that fix, it’s that experience.”

Clip begins at 36:10

For a chaotic, “fast-paced” shooter experience, Doc thinks there’s nothing better than Warzone. Then, for a more tactical experience, “Valorant is just a good contrast,” he explained. “I love where we’re at, going back and forth, it’s good getting the full spectrum.”

With Warzone lobbies’ holding more players than other battle royales such as Apex Legends, games are faster-paced than the traditional BR experience. Kill-races have become the popular competitive format, as the game’s action-packed nature allows for it. While playing in a wager match, Aydan and the rest of his squad shattered the World Record for kills, eliminating 162 players in a single match.

With Warzone gearing for a Zombie outbreak in Verdansk, Season 2 is set to get all the more chaotic.

Best M16 loadout for CoD: Warzone Season 2

Black Ops Cold War’s M16 assault rifle definitely packs a punch, and you can make it dominant with the right attachments and perks.

The M16 assault rifle is an incredibly powerful tool in any Black Ops Cold War player’s arsenal, and with the right attachments, you can use it to dominate enemies across Verdansk in Warzone Season 2.

Black Ops Cold War weapons officially arrived in Warzone at the start of Season 1, and with the battle royale now into its second season, we know exactly which weapons can be used to pick up wins in Verdansk.

The M16 has been used to great effect in Cold War multiplayer, and while Modern Warfare weapons like the Grau 5.56 or the Kilo 141 have dominated the meta in the past, the burst rifle has become a fan-favorite for players to wield.

With the ability to deal huge damage, the M16 may soon become the dominant weapon in Warzone Season 2, and we’ve got everything you need to try it out for yourself.

M16 Warzone Season 2 loadout

M16 loadout in Warzone Season 2
  • Muzzle: Agency Silencer
  • Barrel: 15.9″ Strike Team
  • Optic: Axial Arms 3x
  • Underbarrel: Bruiser Grip
  • Ammunition: 45 Rnd mag

For the muzzle, the Agency Silencer is the go-to for Cold War ARs, as it not only suppresses the sound of your bullets but actually increases the M16’s damage range.

For the barrel, the 15.9″ Strike Team is the way to go as it increases the fire rate, meaning you can fire off bursts quicker while also increasing damage. Using this in conjunction with the Bruiser Grip will help you hit long-range shots easier, as it tightens up the bullet spread in your bursts.

The Axial Arms 3x scope is perfect for the M16. This unobtrusive sight provides great magnification for hitting faraway targets and isn’t so zoomed that you’ll lose targets at closer range, while running the 45 Rnd mag will give you more bullets to use during fights.

This weapon is best used at range for its potential to down a fully armored opponent in only a couple of bursts. Pair this weapon with an SMG such as Warzone‘s MAC-10, and you’ll find yourself a force to be reckoned with in Verdansk and Rebirth Island.

M16 Warzone Season 2 perks

  • Perk 1: E.O.D.
  • Perk 2: Overkill
  • Perk 3: Amped

As for perks, the M16 doesn’t have a massively quick rate of fire, so you won’t run out of bullets too often. This means you won’t need to run Scavenger, and can instead run E.O.D. to protect yourself from explosive damage.

If you’re running an M16, you’ll likely want to run an SMG too for close-quarters battle, so Overkill will let you carry both, while Amped will let you switch between the two quickly.
