Double XP coming to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 this weekend, alongside new Blackout mode

Treyarch has announced on Twitter that they’re starting off the Holiday Season celebration this weekend with Double XP in Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 and a new mode in Blackout.

In both MP and Zombies, Double XP will be live starting December 14 at 10AM PT and ending on Monday, December 17 at 10AM PT.

For those playing Blackout, Treyarch is activating 2X Merits for that mode, alongside brining a new mode — Close Quarter Frenzy to Blackout. This marks the first new mode added to Blackout since the game’s launch. Close Quarter Frenzy was available during the beta for Blackout.

During the beta, Close Quarter Frenzy featured faster Collapse with SMGs, shotguns, handguns, and fists only. It is not clear if the mode will feature the same this weekend, so stay tuned.
