The Warzone 2 Season 2 update has gone down well with most of the CoD community, but streaming star Dr Disrepsect was less than impressed with new offerings, claiming the devs have added “nothing creative.”

Warzone 2 Season 2 is finally here, bringing the largest content drop to the CoD battle royale so far. Players have three launch weapons to experiment with, as well as the new Ashika Island map to mark the return of Resurgence mode.

It also came with a number of gameplay changes that fans have been desperate to see, from removing Backpack looting to bringing back 1v1 Gulags.

However, despite the positive reception to Warzone 2 Season 2 so far, popular YouTube streamer Dr Disrespect hasn’t been won over by the update.

During his launch day stream, The Two-Time was trying out Modern Warfare 2 Ranked Play, when a viewer asked how he felt about Warzone 2 Season 2 so far.

“Honestly I don’t really care, I don’t know what else to say,” Doc replied. “It’s just a fresh coat of paint, revert some s**t, [it] ain’t nothing special, ain’t nothing creative.”

Doc went on to hint that the changes introduced in Season 2 are actually relatively small in the grand scheme of things, by making an interesting sports comparison.

He said: “You know what you’re doing? You’re asking Michael Jordan ‘what do you think of this eighth grader’s jump shot?’ It’s kind of the same thing.”

Despite being unimpressed by any of the changes or new content in Warzone 2 Season 2, Doc did admit the game is “better than it was” before the update.

It’s no secret that that latest patch was focused mainly on fixing a lot of the gameplay issues the community had at launch. Players will be hoping to see the devs build on this foundation in Season 2 Reloaded and beyond.
