Driftor hints at the fastest TTK loadout in Warzone Season 4

Call of Duty content creator Drift0r’s latest video hints at the possible fastest TTK loadout for players to use in Warzone Season 4.

One of the newest weapons to enter Raven Software’s battle royale has the potential to combine and create the fastest TTK loadout in Warzone Season 4, which could wreak havoc among the community.

Warzone Season 4 has introduced various weapon buffs and nerfs to help change the meta from the AMAX-dominated Season 3.

Season 4 has also brought along some new weapons, like the MG 82 and the C58. However, one of the new, more intriguing weapons has the potential to be extremely dominant.

In Drift0r‘s recent video, he showcased the Nail Gun, which, in terms of stats, has the fastest TTK currently in Warzone.

It seems this weapon has been fairly overlooked, most likely due to the overpowered MG 82 that players have been focussing on. Drift0r goes in-depth on all the stats that make this weapon the best TTK in Warzone Season 4.

Although it doesn’t have attachments, the Nail Gun is, as Drift0r says, “the AS VAL of SMGs.” Despite a small magazine size of 20 bullets, or nails, in a magazine, it absolutely shreds in close quarters combat, with a faster TTK than any other SMG.

Drift0r says that we could soon be seeing players running the fastest TTK loadout in Warzone, especially in Solos, consisting of the AS VAL and Nail Gun.

Although the Nail Gun’s TTK does get reduced significantly when your missing shots due to its slow fire rate, it makes up for it with the high body damage.

As we know, the AS VAL was previously the TTK king before the Nail Gun’s introduction, and it remains at the top of the Assault Rifle TTK chart, making it an equal counterpart.

Both of these weapons have low magazine counts, which is why they perform better in Solos, but this loadout would be lethal in any game mode if you are a skilled player who doesn’t miss many shots.

This could be very frustrating for players who are getting killed by this loadout. Although Drift0r does say it is “fair…because you have to be at least decent to use this in Squads, it’s not an easy weapon to wipe a team with…and again, requires you to hit your shots.”

Hopefully, players don’t abuse this Warzone loadout, especially in Solos, as if everybody starts using the Nail Gun/AS VAL combo, it will be tough to compete with if you’re not running it.

Viral TikTok proves Warzone’s Ghost Perk is completely bugged in Season 4

A viral TikTok has revealed that Warzone’s Ghost Perk is broken in Season 4, as it doesn’t always hide players from UAVs.

Viral TiKTok shows Warzone's Ghost perk is broken

It appears that there’s a major issue with Warzone’s Ghost Perk after a viral TikTok from streamer Jessie Cooks showcased the Perk failing in a Twitch Rivals event.

Over Warzone’s life, it’s suffered from a host of bugs and issues. Not only are there cheaters, but the invisibility glitch returned several times and players even found a way to enter the Gulag and kill its combatants. Now, it appears the Ghost Perk doesn’t always work.

Ghost is one of Warzone’s few meta perks. It completely hides you from UAVs and Heartbeat Sensors, which is vital to winning a game of Warzone. However, there is recent evidence that the Ghost Perk can fail, still showing you on a UAV.

Warzone Ghost Perk description

While the Ghost Perk is supposed to completely hide you from UAVs, a clip from Warzone streamer Jessie Cooks appears to prove that this isn’t always the case. While playing in a Twitch Rivals Custom Lobby, they equipped Ghost, yet were still hunted down after appearing on an opposing team’s UAV.

“We died to Huskerrs, JoeWoe and Mutex in Twitch Rivals [because] ghost doesn’t work,” Jessie shared on July 28 alongside a TikTok which provided the evidence.

In the video, Jessie Cooks and her team all grabbed their loadouts, clearly equipping the Ghost Perk. About a minute later, HusKerr’s team popped a UAV and could clearly see Jessie’s team on it. After hunting them down, JoeWoe made quick work of her by using the UAV’s information to throw a perfectly placed stun.

This TikTok went viral, catching the attention of analytical Warzone YouTuber JGOD, who said that “it makes no sense.” After watching all POVs and agreeing that Ghost should have worked, he suggested that it’s “likely a private match bug.”

A small streamer, Fabes_O, replied to JGOD with evidence that it “happens in pubs too.” They uploaded a clip showing the UAV sweep the Bounty circle but no red dots appeared. But as they approached, the team suddenly showed up on the minimap. Fabes_O was eliminated by them, and the killcam proved that the player did indeed have Ghost.

Raven Software hasn’t acknowledged this bug yet, but it’s gained enough traction online that it’s likely to be on their radar.

When is FOV slider coming to Warzone on consoles? Raven ‘aware’ of requests

Warzone players have been calling for an FOV slider on consoles since the game’s release, and Raven have confirmed they are investigating the possibility.

A Field-Of-View Slider for consoles has been a tool that Warzone players have been begging for since the game was released, and while Raven Software has acknowledged the requests, there’s no word on if or when it will finally be added.

Having an enhanced field of view on Warzone can be a huge advantage to players, allowing them to see more of their surroundings, and giving them the ability to customize their game exactly how they want to.

Fans have been calling for FOV slider support since the game’s original launch in March 2020, but so far, only the PC version of Warzone has the setting built into it. Unsurprisingly, these requests intensified when Black Ops Cold War launched with an FOV slider on consoles in November 2020.

What is an FOV slider?

A FOV slider allows players to change their field of view on the screen to see more of their surroundings. This would let you see more of what is on either side of the direction your character is facing, increasing your peripheral view.

In Warzone, the default FOV is set to 80, but in Black Ops Cold War as seen below, that can be increased to 120, a huge jump from what players can normally see.

Raven Software responds to Warzone FOV Slider calls

During a press briefing with Raven Software, the studio’s Associate Creative Director Amos Hodge revealed that the studio has heard all of the fan requests for a FOV slider in Call of Duty: Warzone.

Hodge stated that they have heard fans’ calls for FOV sliders and are actively looking at its implementation for consoles in the future. However, he stopped short of providing any release time frame, stating they ‘cannot share’ any timeline at this point.

Why is FOV not already available on consoles?

One of the concerns behind bringing a field of view slider to Warzone is performance, with Infinity Ward worried about how it would run on old hardware like the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.

With an increase in FOV, an adverse effect happens where you start to see a dip in frame rate in games. With Warzone supporting 150 players on a large map, the FPS drop could become so significant that it affects actual gameplay. This has been one of the key reasons why it has not been implemented yet.

Still, Raven are investigating possible options regarding its implementation. It’s important to note that this feature could be limited just to the PS5 and Xbox Series X, but the studio declined to elaborate any further on the details of it.

If you currently play on PC, this option is already available, and you can use our Warzone FOV settings guide to make sure you’re making the most of this advantage.

Best Warzone X16 Loadout

The X16 can be a deadly secondary weapon in Warzone Season 4 with the right attachments and perks, so let’s get into the best loadout for it.

For those who like to run Ghost over Overkill, running a strong secondary weapon is extremely important in Call of Duty: Warzone.

There is an abundance of great secondary weapons to choose from in Warzone, such as the M19, and the X16 is one of the best most powerful, especially with the correct setup.

Here is how to make the best Warzone X16 loadout to dominate all of the enemies you encounter on Verdansk and Rebirth Island in Season 4.

  • Barrel: Monolithic Supressor
  • Laser: 5mW Laser
  • Trigger Action: Lightweight Trigger
  • Ammunition: 26 Round Mag
  • Perk: Akimbo

The best Warzone X16 loadout is equipped for close-ranged engagements, using the Monolithic Suppressor and 5mW Laser to help boost the damage and accuracy to finish off those who are just outside of its range.

The Lightweight Trigger is very important for improving the fire rate, while the 26 Round Mags will allow you to sustain fire for longer.

Lastly, and most importantly, the Akimbo perk helps greatly with increasing this weapon’s efficiency in those close quarters situations, allowing for a higher TTK and overall damage output.

  • Perk 1: E.O.D
  • Perk 2: Ghost
  • Perk 3: Amped

As it is a secondary, you’ll want to be using the X16 for finishing off fights and also catching enemies by surprise by getting in enemy faces. Using E.O.D means you’ll reduce the risk of getting caught off guard by explosives when chasing enemies down and turning corners.

As always, Ghost will hide you from the minimap and Heartbeat Sensors, which is something that is greatly useful in Warzone, regardless of the weapon you’re using.

Amped will allow you to pull out the X16 fast to beat your enemy to the first shot, allowing you to finish off enemies and bombard them with bullets even after switching weapons.

How to unlock the X16

The X16 is a pistol in Warzone available from the get-go, meaning no matter your level, you can equip it to your loadout.
