AC Milan and their arch-rivals Inter have consistently appeared in EA’s football sim franchise, but are the Italian heavyweights in EA FC 25?

The upcoming title in the long-running franchise offers plenty to look forward to, including updates to fan-favorite modes such as Clubs and Ultimate Team, along with the new 5v5 Rush mode. It’s also expected to introduce new licensed teams, although there has been plenty of speculation surrounding the presence of AC Milan and Inter Milan.

If you’re wondering whether the Milanese sides will be in FC 25, here’s everything to know.

Will AC Milan and Inter be in FC 25?

No, AC Milan and Inter will not feature in EA FC 25. Both teams will be absent from all game modes, including Career Mode, Ultimate Team, and Kick Off. Their shared stadium, the iconic San Siro, will also be unavailable in the game.

Rumors regarding their absence began spreading long before the developer deep dives, and the information was finally confirmed through the FC 25 beta. Screenshots from the beta display both teams using different names and custom badges. AC Milan is named Milano FC while Inter is called Lombardia FC.

That said, it’s worth noting that players for both teams will still have their authentic likenesses and names.

Why aren’t AC & Inter Milan in EA FC 25?

According to ‘DonkTrading‘ on X, AC Milan and Inter have signed an exclusive license agreement with Konami’s eFootball, which is why they’ll be missing in FC 25. The sides will join Atalanta and Lazio as PES-exclusive teams, meaning only 16 out of 20 Serie A teams are licensed in EA FC.

Interestingly enough, Napoli and Roma are set to return to EA’s football title this year. Both teams were unlicensed in EA FC 24 and were exclusive to eFootball. With Inter and AC Milan going the other way, it seems like the two competitors traded team licenses for their latest releases.

Despite losing out on important licenses, FC 25 offers plenty to be excited about including a suite of new gameplay features and the FC IQ tactical overhaul.
