EA FC 25 is set to evolve the long-running franchise once again as new features make their way to fan-favorite modes like Ultimate Team, Clubs, and Career Mode.

Speaking of fan-favorite modes, Clubs is the ultimate cooperative experience in EA FC, allowing players to create teams with their friends. Thanks to a sharp rise in the mode’s popularity, partly propelled by social media, the devs are introducing a suite of new features to Pro Clubs.

Here’s a look at some of the new features coming to the mode in EA FC 25.

All changes in EA FC 25 Clubs

  • The Clubhouse
  • Clubs Facilities
  • Rush Integration
  • Relegation returns
  • Max height for Virtual Pros

The Clubhouse

FC 25 Clubs main menu
Navigation in Clubs has been streamlined.

The Clubhouse is a menu overhaul coming to Clubs, which also serves as the main hub for social interactions and customization. The hub is divided into five sections: Play, MyPro, MyClub, Leaderboards, and Clubs Store. This new layout is designed to streamline navigation, allowing you to transition between squad management and upgrading your player quickly.

The backdrop to all of this is your team’s locker room, displaying all your teammates as well as any modifications you make to it. You’ll also be able to view which menus your teammates are browsing through in real time.

Club Facilities

Club Facilities in FC 25
You’ll have a limited budget to purchase Facilities.

Club Facilities are new resources that can be purchased to receive attribute upgrades. These resources are available to all teammates, so any investments made into Facilities will benefit the entire club. They can range from building a Weight Room to hiring an Equipment Manager.

All Facilities come with a star level, with the highest being a three-star rating. One-star Facilities, a Running Track for instance, enhance two attributes of all your club mates. Three-star Facilities offer more significant boosts such as new PlayStyle and PlayStyle+ traits.

Selecting which Facilities to invest in is a tactical decision, as giving all your clubmates the Tiki Taka+ PlayStyle can provide solid results on the pitch if paired with the right style of play. You’ll also have to be mindful of your club’s budget, which starts off as scarce but will increase as you win League and Playoff matches.

Rush Integration

Rush ranked rewards in EA FC 25
Every season will come with different rank rewards.

Rush has been at the forefront of FC 25’s marketing, so you might already be familiar with the 5v5 mode. While Rush is integrated into all game modes, its in-game communication features and cooperative nature seem to align perfectly with what Clubs is all about.

In it, you’ll be able to queue alongside three of your clubmates and take on other teams online. If you queue up solo, you’ll be matched with other players looking for teammates. Your progress in Clubs Rush is tracked using RP or Rank Points, which you’ll earn or lose depending on the outcome of matches.

Climbing to different ranks each season will see your club earn rewards. However,  RP is partially reset each season, allowing for a fresh start while acknowledging your previous accomplishments.

Clubs relegation

The relegation feature is making a return to Clubs in FC 25. This dynamic will bring new intensity to Clubs League matches as squads look to avoid the drop.

Relegation is tied to a chance-based system. Upon entering a new division, your club is assigned a set number of matches If you lose enough matches, you’ll have to face off in a Relegation Battle to discern if your club gets sent down a division.

The Relegation Battle is a winner-take-all match between two teams that will be desperate to remain in their division and fight another day. You’ll be matched against a team of a similar skill level, with the loser taking a drop. If you’re on the winning side, you’ll remain in the current division with your chances reset.

Max height

EA Sports are putting an end to players creating giant Virtual Pros who tower above the pitch by implementing a maximum height restriction in Clubs.

This change was confirmed to be “in response to community feedback around gameplay balance.” When you create your Virtual Pro in FC 25 Clubs, their height will not be able to surpass 6’5″.

Virtual Pros will not be able to exceed a height of 6’5″.

Post-match timer

Clubs players will finally be able to remain on the menu screen for longer following the conclusion of a match.

Previously, you’d be forced back to the Clubs lobby quite quickly, leading to complaints from players who wanted to check out post-match stats or highlights. We don’t know just how long you’ll be able to relish your victories, but the devs stated the time allotted with the new feature will be “much longer.”

Clubs Store

The Clubs Store is making its way to the mode as a new feature this year, and players will be able to spend their Clubs Coins to purchase new cosmetics for their player.

The cosmetics on offer include new hairstyles, headwear, facial hair, tattoos, boots, facial accessories, gloves, and arm sleeves. Some of these items will also be sold as part of limited-time bundles.

New Stadium items such as Club Kits, Tifos, and Trophies will also be available in the Clubs Store, allowing you to personalize your home venue.

Clubs isn’t the only game mode receiving a facelift in EA FC 25, so be sure to check out all the new features coming to Career Mode and Ultimate Team.
